Although my profession is easy on the watch I use tools all the time for projects like wiring, car repair, electronics and even some minor construction stuff and I end up sticking my hands in tight places all the time punishing the watch I am wearing. I have a collection of watches and I used to have a couple of rugged ones that I would use when working with tools. The problem is that for the past 2 years I changed my life by losing about 70 pounds with diet and exercise and the Apple Watch played a big role in keeping track of my daily activities so I need to have it on all the time. My watch was a series 2 and the screen was cracked and chipped in a corner for about 6 months now while Apple Care expired. In an attempt to keep it going since the touchscreen was still working I purchased this case which covered the chipped corner and hid the cracked screen somewhat so I am very happy with this case.Unfortunately, 5 days after I put the case on, I dropped the Watch and the touchscreen stopped working so I had to by another watch. But, I have to say that the case protected the screen from the drop and it did not crack anymore than it was before. The screen was already chipped with copper showing in a corner so I think that the drop just caused it to lose contact and I cannot blame this case for the resulting problem. The case was not damaged by the drop at all and I gave it to my wife who has the same watch.The good stuff:1) It is very thin compared to other cases that I have purchased in the past (which did not last long).2) It is super easy to install and remove.3) It clips on the watch and it is very tight on it so it does not look or feel like a cheap add-on part.4) The black color blends almost perfectly with the Space Gray Aluminum WatchThe bad stuff:1) The touchscreen protector is not glass and it is a thin flexible film. It is thick enough to protect the screen from scratches but not to protect it from cracking when hit so it will not work like the tempered glass protectors you see on cell phones.2) The screen protector film appears to be prone to be statically charged and it collects dust.3) The screen protector allows for more of a glare and shows fingerprint marks much more than the watch screen does.4) It has a bevel around the touchscreen protector that changes the overall look of the Apple WatchI had to buy a new watch and I got the Series 5 but I immediately ordered the same case for the new watch and it was delivered next morning. The pictures are from the new watch but the Series 2 and 3 look exactly the same way with the case on. Overall this is definitely a 5 star item because although I found some "bad stuff", the combination of price and "good stuff" appears to be an unbeatable value. I would recommend this case to anyone that has an Apple Watch. It is so easy to clip on and take off, you don't even need to take the watch off your wrist.

I can’t rave about this protective case enough… the first time I bought this, I smashed my watch into a metal pole very hard so I thought I broke it for sure. It dented the screen really deeply but when I took off the case, there wasn’t a scratch on my watch! I replaced the case and a couple years later, I somehow cracked the side of the case and it splintered the face in two different directions but the case took the brunt of the damage and again, not a scratch on my watch! I’m really not a klutz but when things happen, this is an amazing product for protecting my watch - I just ordered two more!

These are good but yes they still get dust under them over time, I use the protector for work but dust makes it’s way between the protector and the watch screen leaving scratches in my screen(I’ve noticed more scratches over time). I’d rather have that than a broken screen so these are ok for me and also my watch is old anyways so scratches don’t bother me. If my watch was new I wouldn’t recommend these due to dust potentially scratching the screen

I am hard on watches. Invariably I will put a few scratches or nicks on a watch within a few weeks of wearing it. It was for this reason that I was reluctant to get an Apple Watch. I figured I'd destroy it. Well, I caved, and picked one up when I needed a new fitness band and in an effort to protect it I picked up this case because it offered all around protection as opposed to just screen protection. I've worn the watch and protector for two and a half months now and as you can see, I'm up to my usual tricks in terms of watch abuse. However, the protector is the one showing the signs of wear, not the watch underneath. The watch is still in mint condition.The protector is extremely easy to snap on and off. I take it off occasionally when I sweat a lot or go swimming as moisture can sometimes get between the protector and the watch face. Easy wipe down, snap it back on, and I am good to go. The screen protector portion, the actual plastic that covers the touch face of the watch, isn't without imperfection. Its not perfectly clear and has picked up a fair amount of nicks and scrapes. It doesn't however overly distort your view of the watch itself and I've never had any trouble controlling the watch through the material. I am satisfied with the trade off because I know this thing is absolutely saving my watch.I absolutely recommend this item for folks who tend to be hard on their watches. I plan on eventually re-buying one when it absorbs too many dings but I will happy to do so knowing it's preserved the valuable watch beneath. Very impressed.

I got this for my Series 3 42mm.PROS:- Doesn't have the matte/rubberized coating that the other cases have, just a semi-glossy plastic. It doesn't look as good as the matte finish but you also don't have to worry about the coating wearing off which looks worse in my opinion.- Great durability. I've knocked my watch against a variety of surfaces and both the screen protector and my watch stayed in one piece. My watch screen is 100% scratch free.- Easy installation/removal. No issues with security once installed.CONS:- Over time, the case WILL put wear marks on your watch casing.- Moisture and/or dust do eventually find their way in between the screen protector and your watch screen requiring regular removal and cleaning.- The raised edge around the screen is good for durability but slightly annoying with finger gestures. Also, the touch screen sensitivity slightly affected by having this case on, but I've also noticed that with other cases of this style.
