Works exactly as expected for OTG. The 90° right-angle design keeps the cable tucked in and reduces strain on the port, and the “powered” input helps keep devices stable when you’re running peripherals (USB drive, keyboard/mouse, etc.). Build feels solid for the price and it’s been plug-and-play for me. Just note: you’ll want a decent power source, and OTG compatibility still depends on the device you’re using. I tried out this USB OTG Adapter, hoping to expand the capabilities of my FireStick and other devices. While the idea behind this adapter is great and its compact size is a big plus, I have to give it a 3-star rating due to some frustrating connectivity issues. The design is definitely convenient. The right-angled adapter fits neatly into tight spaces and the small form factor makes it easy to tuck away. It's perfect for adding USB peripherals to various devices without any clutter. I appreciated the concept of being able to connect things like keyboards, mice, and flash drives to my FireStick and other compatible gadgets. However, I ran into significant issues with the micro USB port. It kept slipping out of the FireStick, almost as if it was too small or loose. This inconsistency made it hard to maintain a stable connection, which was particularly frustrating when trying to use the device. The connection should be secure, but instead, it felt unreliable. Additionally, I experienced problems with my USB drive staying connected to the FireStick. The drive would intermittently disconnect, which caused interruptions and made it difficult to use for any extended period. It's a bit disappointing because the whole purpose of this adapter is to provide seamless connectivity, but it fell short in this crucial area. The OTG Adapter has a lot of potential with its handy, compact design and versatility. However, the unreliable connections with both the micro USB port and USB drive are significant drawbacks. If the connectivity issues were resolved, this could be a fantastic accessory. For now, it works well enough for occasional use but can be quite frustrating for regular, reliable operation.

It works great. I bought it for my firestick. I didn't want to purchase a fire cube. It's cheaper to buy this and I was able to use it with some extra USBs I had laying around. Firestick is running faster and smoother with no buffering. Another cool thing that I discovered is that I was able to use a micro SD/SD card reader. I plugged an extra 32gb micro SD card into the adapter and my firestick was able to read it. I purchased an Ethernet cable adapter and that wouldn't work with the USB adapter. I was hoping to be able to use both, but it works great anyhow so I don't really need the Ethernet connection.

Where people moan about otg not working with Firesticks is where there isn't enough power to drive the device, up the power supply to 2amp or 3amp or where an Ethernet dongle is used that isn't compatible (been there done that... stick a hub in the chain and try again). 1amp power supply was fine for driving a SanDisk 256gb stud and the Firestick. Worked perfectly. Wanted a low profile solution for using the Firestick in hotels where you don't want an OTG with cables dangling behind the TV. A stud usb memory plus that coding you find on the net for extending memory above 8k did the trick. Neet solution for travelling. Keep the cables at home.
