Getting used to the method/size is an adjustment but this size is closest to my other items. Size does not matter as you determine the amount that is between hand/dirty item. I prefer without the silicone inside as it is easier to keep clean. I have a separate silicone pad from Dollar Tree. I also use a sort of smooth and sort of scratchy sponge covers (sponges removed) from DT. Sponges don't try and can't really be cleaned. I bought this item to replace the typical green scratchpad or steel scrubber, definitely works better and is easier to keep clean. My first intention was to used on seasoned cast iron and seasoned stainless but now use for all pots, ceramicware, coffee cups, glass cookware and sink.

Love this chain mail scrubber. I use it on my cast iron cookware, dishes, glasses. Gee, what else can I use it on in my kitchen, oh, inside my sink. It didn't scratch anything I used it on. And I didn't have to press too hard to get the stuck on food off. I really thought this little gem would not do it's job well, but it does! I'm very glad I bought it. To clean it, I put it in the palm of my hand with a drop of dish soap and rub like I'm washing my hands. Let drip dry, and no rust either. I even used it on my soap dish to get the soap scum off from bar soap, worked like a gem!

This was a great little scrubber until it took a trip through the garbage disposal. It did well to clean my cast iron and stainless steel pans. I really liked this little scrubber but it was no match for the garbage disposal. If you purchase, make sure you check your disposal unit before use to make sure it has not fallen in there.

This tool is a lifesaver. It goes to work on burnt on bits and residue with only a little water. Amazingly it doesn’t seem to harm the seasoning. I use moistened paper towels after a vigorous pan “exfoliation” tp wipe out resulting black soot. I heat my pan to thoroughly dry and then rub in a light coating of oil and my pan maintains its perfect seasoning coating ready for its next cooking project.

This is exactly what I needed. Now, I can easily scrub my iron skillet and get all the baked on residue off. Easy to clean after use as I just throw it in the basket in my dishwasher.

The chain mail cast iron scrubber works great for cleaning our my cast iron skillet. A little water, a little soap, and this scrubber is all I need to get the crud out of the bottom of the pan. After I scrub I make sure to dry the pan well, then use a paper towel and a little canola oil... then I heat the pan till it starts to smoke a little. This helps "bake in" the oil and keeps the cast iron skillet primed, non-stick, and ready to go for the next use.

Seemed well made but was so small I returned it. Probably my fault in reading the item description but it was no bigger than the bottom of a soda can.

Like the rest of America, I used the quarantine to make sourdough and found it is the strongest substance known to man! Challenging to clean unless it was soaked for hours and it gummed up all my usual cleaning tools. NOT THE METAL MESH! It gets the dough off with minimal effort and rinses clean! So happy with this, it should be considered a MUST with every sourdough starter!
