Another great hardcover from valiant
This collects the excellent armor hunters event in its entirety. As with the other valiant deluxe collections this is a quality edition with nice binding, paper etc. The origin of the armor hunters (the antagonists) is really fleshed out so the reader understands their motivations. The bloodshot scenes are fun and the harbinger issues set in devastated Mexico city were great. Faith and torque get a lot of attention in theses issues. Gin gr the sentient robot gets her introduction here. If you enjoy unity and have not read this yet, you should. It lays the foundation of the current unity team. My only gripe is I wish x-o manowar was featured more because he is the catalyst for the story. Pick this up, it is money well spent.

Man VS Machine
The first big crossover by Valiant I've read and overall found it to be pretty well done. Not perfect mind you, but the overall execution of the story is a good one. Continuing X-O Manowar's story while expanding the greater Valiant Universe, overall a worthwhile read

Too expensive to read!
I just got this book. Now it's selling between $400 and $2000. I recently fell in love with the Valiant universe, now I'm afraid to open it!

Great Buy
Reprinting the ENTIRE Armor Hunters event, the Armor Hunters Deluxe Edition is a must-have for Valiant fans.As with other Deluxe editions, the issues have been arranged in a reading order. While the perfection of this particular order is certainly up for debate, the result of a streamlined and pleasurable reading experience simply can't be argued.Providing not only some history of the Armor Hunters themselves, but the consequences of their arrival on different parts of the globe, this event is the world-altering scenario that VEI's previous crossover Harbinger Wars promised but ultimately failed to deliver. This point is masterfully driven home in the Aftermath issue, which ends the event with a clear indicstion that the world will never be the same.Being that this crosses into multiple titles, hiccups are to be expected, though none of them should ruin the experience. First, the difference in art can be quite jarring at times. While each issue is good own, visually they do not always flow well together. It's a bit distracting. Secondly, there are several noticeable but minor continuity errors within the event. While a bit confusing at first, they boil down to mere differences in who was standing where when what happened. It certainly doesn't ruin anything, but it is a bit annoying. Finally, the Unity issues fail to hold up their end of the overall great quality of the story at several points. Most noticably, Ninjak's resolution to certain scenario seems to have been written in as an unbelievable combination of over-the-top gadgets and chemicals he obtained over many years to have the perfect weapon he never knew he needed. As noted above, the art differs between titles, though none of it is particularly bad. If I REALLY had to pick a low point, Trevor Hairsine's work on the Bloodshot titles yields some awkward panels, residing on the lower end of his already gritty style.Ultimately, the story is where it's at here, and this event takes the reader on a wild ride across multiple continents on earth as well as blowing the extraterrestrial Valiant Universe WIDE open!

Solid Crossover
A solid company wide crossover. This edition contains all the issues having anything to do with the Armor Hunters story line. Reading it in the order presented shows that editorially this could have been a bit tighter. Different books present conflicting versions of events. The story unfolded differently than I expected. There weren't really any fights with the Armor Hunters until the very end.

5/5 rating, sci-fi story telling at its best. Valiant shows Marvel and DC how event books should be done! A MUST buy!!
Instant sci-if classic! Can't recommend this book highly enough, great for existing Valiant readers and those not familiar with Valiant books. Masterminded by writer Robert Venditti with contributions from other great writers and artists, this book collects the main 4 part story plus the XO Manowar issues and the 3 part Harbinger and 3 part Bloodshot storylines. A BIG read and great value for money. Buy it!
