Looks great
I have to say I did expect a little more out of this product however I cant say I'm especially disappointed. My unit didn't come with the extra buttons and triggers as shown in the listing however it was an amazon warehouse product so I cant complain too much. I would expect all the items would be included were the product bought new.The included screwdriver is pretty nice and definitely adds to the value of the kit, my only gripe with it is that it's not magnetic which is annoying when working with such tiny screws so I kept a magnetic one beside me to fish out the little screws. For some good points, the colour is rich and deep and looks stunning which is the main reason I have no real complaints. The 'soft touch' finish is advertised all over the product page however in person it doesn't do a whole lot and doesn't give the shells anymore of a premium feel over the original so you're essentially buying just the colour which is fine but the advertising is maybe a little misleading. Another point about the finish is that its a bit more of a grease magnet which is something to keep in mind if kids will be handling the console.Installation was fine, no harder than you'd expect from something like this and it took me around an hour to do the pair. My overall take away is these are a great option if your shells are a little worn down or you'd just like to personalise the switch.

Very good quality
Arrived quickly and it is top quality. The shells are soft and smooth, and feel better than the actual nintendo joy con shells. The buttons are also of good quality. One thing I've noticed since switching to this shell is that it gets hot, at least while playing in handheld. The stock ones don't.

Thunderbolt Yellow Joy Cons, I Choose You!
If I've learned anything from this experience, it's that Joy Con transplants are not for the faint of heart, or the shaky of hand. If you have not done this before, I would recommend:- Taking your time;- Find a large flat surface;- Watch more than one video regarding changing Joy Con shells. (I'll get to this in a minute);- Wearing gloves to avoid getting sweat or anything on the electronics.I love the fact that for the price, the kit comes with spare screws and the tools required to get the job done. My only slight gripe about the tools provided is that the Tri Wing screwdriver has a tendency to strip screws if you're not careful, and using the tweezers to put the ribbons back in place can be a hazard as they're quite sharp. The plastic used for these has a different texture to the standard Joy Con shells and actually feels nicer to the touch; I did keep the original Black with White letters buttons as they're easier to read.My biggest gripe, however, is not with the product, but with the linked tutorial video, which features a fair bit of unnecessary dismantling, some of it in the wrong order, making the job more difficult for anyone following the video to the letter. Worse than that, it shows the demonstrator pulling the ribbons from their connectors without unclipping them first. For anyone not in the know, this can use people following along to not notice that this needs to be done to get the ribbons back into place, causing them to try forcing them back in needlessly, potentially causing you to strip the ribbon and needing a new part. (If you do this, it's worth noting that you can buy these parts pretty cheaply online, and your Joy Con is not entirely lost.) There are other videos online which will show you this in better detail, and it would be nice if the video provided showed this with some care too.Besides all this, I am happy with how my Switch looks, and I am looking forward to finishing my build once my new connectors arrive for my Left Joy Con. (Lessons were learned by the time I did the Right one, so the transplant went perfectly!)If you have never done this before, the process is a bit daunting and a little frustrating, but it's definitely worth it to have something that stands out, plus it feels more like yours!

Slight imperfections, but very soft material and nice colour.
The Joy-con shells arrived quickly, however they have some small imperfections. Not incredibly obvious, and for the price I'd say its fair. Otherwise, colour is very good, very soft and despite the swap being somewhat complicated and needing some extra tools, went mostly smoothly and I'm very satisfied with the product. The defects can be seen above the stick, 2 bumps sticking out from the plastic, and a notch above the side rail, which is present on both joy cons but can be sanded down

Excellent Quality & Battery Life
This product has the same solid feel of an authentic controller. It locks in to all controller and console connections as you would expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the very long battery life, as we are yet to recharge since the initial charge up (over a week of regular use ago!) and there is still a lot of battery power left! One interesting thing to note is the vibration... which is MUCH louder than in authentic controllers - I'd love future releases to have a method to decrease the strength of the vibration to pull it closer to Nintendo's controllers - but other than that these are an excellent buy. Colours perfectly matched photo.
