Nice case, great tolerances, clearly written instructions
Layered acrylic cases seem to be a dime a dozen these days - everyone is making one, and not everyone is making them well. They put together loose and sloppy, and are hard to get lined up tight with clean edges. That's not the case here. This case was clearly well thought out from bottom to top - each layer is precisely molded to the components on the Raspberry Pi 4 to ensure a great stack. This definitely means you aren't going to get a Raspberry Pi 3 into this case, but it also means you are almost guaranteed to get super clean looking edges once your stack is complete. The fan is very quiet, even on 5V. I tried switching it to 3.3V, and I honestly couldn't hear a thing unless I put it up to my ear to listen. The two videos attached barely have the fan audible - this was the best I could capture! Keep in mind that the video was shot about six inches from the Raspberry Pi in an attempt to pick up audio. At a more reasonable distance, you cannot hear the fan at either 5V, or 3.3V. The pictures attached show the unboxing, and various stages of the build process from start to finish. The good: - It looks amazing, seriously. This is about the best looking layered case I've put together. - The included heatsinks and power supply make this case go from a good deal to a great deal... you're not going to need to add anything except an SD card, a micro HDMI cable, a keyboard and a mouse to get up and running. The neutral: - Pay attention to the (fantastic) instructions. Don't get ahead thinking you need to install the heatsinks first. These instructions really are clear about when you need to do what. If you've done this many time before, you'll be tempted to just "wing it". You may end up installing heatsinks in a way that will make the layers not line up. - The wires on the included power supply seem a bit thin, but it's only carrying 5V @ 3A, and it IS marked as UL listed... so they must be correctly. For reference, The wire on the official Raspberry Pi power supply is about 3x thicker. The bad: - I had no bad experiences with this kit, I am really happy with my purchase. Verdict: Highly recommend. As soon as I buy another Raspberry Pi 4, I'll be buying another case - guaranteed!

Well built product and a great kit.
First, I have to say that I recently put together a case for my first Raspberry Pi 3B+ that was not the layered style and I liked it so much that I wanted to do the same when I got a Pi 4B. However, since it was not yet available, I decided to give one of these layered cases a try. As long as you have a Pi 4B, a micro HDMI cord, a micro SD card and a keyboard and mouse, this kit will be the only thing you need to put together your own little desktop computer. In my opinion, getting a kit with heatsinks and a fan is the way to go to keep the unit cool when in heavy use. This is especially important with the Pi 4B which runs hotter than its predecessor, the 3B. The instructions that came with this kit were clear and easy to follow (just follow the pictures step-by-step). Even taking my time and taking some photos along the way, it took me about 15 minutes to put everything together nice and snug and when finished, the enclosure is nice and solid and attractive as well. The fan runs silently even at 5V with the device only at elbow's length. The power supply that came with the kit is also nice as the connector seats firmly and having a switch on the cord is a great feature. When I saw another review for this kit that said the case interfered with the insertion of the HDMI cable, I was a bit concerned but my cable fit fine and seated fully with no interference whatsoever. It's the only cable of this type I own or I would have tried others but I suspect the vast majority of cables will work without a problem. The micro HDMI cable is new to the Raspberry Pi, so one recommendation I would offer is that these kits be supplied with one or two of these cables. So, to conclude, I liked this case more than I expected but even having said that, I still want to try a non-layered case for my Pi 4. It will be nice to compare the two side-by-side but after putting this one together, either choice is going to be a good one.

Some PROS and CONS for Your Reading Pleasure
Let's get right to business: PROS --Raspberry Pi 4 board sturdy within case; no jiggling --Case feels solid after assembly. --Connectors are mostly easy to access --Heatsinks are pretty and they do their job --Fan is super quiet even operating at the higher speed (5V) --Fan and heatsink combo kept my raspberry pi 4 at a cool 40 C when I played 1080p 60-fps video from YouTube. In idle state with no extra apps running, the temp stayed at 37 C. --The whole assembly is attractive with the see-thru parts and black accents --Very nice instructions that graphically walk you through the assembly. (Move over IKEA!) --Comes partially assembled. Helps with reassembly if you keep the stack together. --Power supply (power adapter) hasn't failed on me in normal operation. So far so good. CONS --You definitely need the illustrated instructions to assemble as it is not all that intuitive. It's best to keep the stack together as you found it in the box, otherwise you'll need to carefully identify the parts in the instructions. --Instructions don't tell you much about the fan cable routing. More on that later. --After you assemble it, there's some likelihood that in the future the nuts will fall off the screws as there are no lockwashers. If you only finger-tighten the nuts the likelihood rises that the nuts will come loose. More on that later. --Individual parts are delicate. They need to be treated with care. --I you plan to use the GPIO header, you'll have to choose between using the GPIO or the fan, but not both as the fan uses the GPIO header to draw power. --The case does not have room to add a Hat on top of the raspberry pi, but you can connect one outside the case by using a GPIO extension. About the FAN Ensure label of the fan is facing downward towards the raspberry pi. Identify where you're going to plug in the fan and route the fan cable so that the cable wraps around the side of the fan. The idea is to take up any slack that might interfere with access to any ribbon connector on the board. To take up the slack, rotate the whole fan before you mount it. About the Screws The nuts should be tightened a little more than finger tight but not so much that would crack the plastic. I used a metric hex nut driver and a philips screwdriver. Put a tiny drop of glue on the end of the screw where it is flush with the nut. Don't get any glue on the plastic or you'll ruin the case. I would use wood glue or a medium-strength thread-locking fluid. The idea is that it will keep the nut from backing off but you can still twist it loose if you need to disassemble the case. Adding a lock washer might not work because there is little to no room for it and it might ruin the plastic.

Beautiful, Sleek, and Solid
This case looks great and the Pi 4 fits great inside. As a bonus, it comes with blue heatsinks, a quiet but powerful fan, and a switchable power supply. It is a great value overall. The case itself is solid. The Pi 4 fits like a glove inside. The openings allow plenty of airflow and access for the GPiO and camera. The GPiO can be accessed straight from the top or off to the side. The fan operates at high or low speed and is virtually silent. I cannot hear it without lifting it up to my ear. It keeps the Pi cool without much effort and looks great. The only downside I've found is the mini-HDMI ports are inset in the case leaving a lip to the case that can interfere with some cables. I had an adapter that didn't work because it was both too wide at the end and bent 90 degrees so both the adapter and HDMI did not fit. However, I had a straight adapter that worked just fine. The service was great. I did experience a problem which was quickly remedied by a very competent and attentive support team. In all, I'm impressed by the product, the service, and the support behind this product. Buy one, and you will be too.

Great Little Case
This is a great little case. I didn't pay much attention to what I ordered, honestly - it was a Pi4 case and it came with power, so it was an impulse buy so I could start using my Pi safely. Nobody will really see it once deployed. That said, when it came it, I was pleasantly surprised. The case isn't a two-piece case - it's actually a series of stacked plastic parts each precision cut for its place in the case with the 4 corner screws holding it all together. The Pi isn't mounted anywhere - it just fits in it's strategic spot and doesn't move once it's assembled. The fan comes with instructions to hook it up two ways - to 3v or 5v for whichever speed is desired. I built mine with the 3V and it's pretty quiet. From 1ft away, I don't hear it. The heat sinks fit perfectly. There are feet and nuts from the assembly bolts so there's space and wall-mount holes - it'll stand off the wall roughly 1/4" so airflow will be good. The power supply works with what I assume is one of the early Pi4's that probably has the power issue (early Pi4s report incorrectly to some USBC power supplies and won't work). All in all, no issues and I'm happy with my purchase... and bonus, it does look great too!

Nice case, kind of annoying to put together
The fan is quiet, and the overall look is good with holes for the GPIO and the camera ribbon, as well as easy access to the SD card. The overall fit is good as well around the pi 4. The power supply works well and the on-off switch is really nice to have. Of the whole thing, the only part that I didn't like was the assembly. This is several layers of plastic that stack, which works for the job, but they move independently when trying to get it all together, which makes getting the screws in and it together kind of annoying. Once you have it together there is no more issue...unless you need to open it to change/add a ribbon for the camera. Still, for the most part, I like it.
