Wordlock CL-441-BK Non-Resettable Combination Cable Lock, Black, 4-Feet

I needed a simple lock to use on an old gate around my swimming pool that had gotten a bit warped and would no longer stay shut. I wanted a quick, low-cost way of dealing with this so I purchased this cable with lock on it. It comes with only one code on it which suited me fine since I will be the one to use it and it will not be opened often. The cable was long enough to fit the area that I needed as well as slip through the boards, both vertical and horizontal, to stay put. The other great thing was that I received this purchase in just a few days so my problem could be quickly solved. Thanks, Amazon.

I am a night eater, so I asked my husband to purchase this lock for our refrigerator. I like how the lock coils, so he can wrap it very tightly around the double doors of the refrigerator, which mens that even if I wanted to get into the refrigerator for a snack in the middle of the night, I could not do so. My only complaint is that it comes with a preset combination that cannot be changed. This means that if one of our children slips and tells me the code, or I see it being locked (my husband told me that it has to be changed to the code before it can be hooked together and locked), we will have to order a whole new combination lock. Were it not for this problem, this lock would have been given five stars.

The lock serves its purpose for me - I use it to lock up my bike while I go into the library or grocery store, usually. I wish it were a bit longer, as sometimes I need to lock 3 bikes together. The dial seems a little bit cheap/flimsy but has been hanging in there and still works fine.This would not be a great lock if you were to lock up your bike in a questionable area, or for a long period of time (like at school/work). It could probably be cut fairly easily.For the price and for what I use it for, it's a fine lock.

Thought my kid would like it for his bike that he rides to school.He was unconcerned with the thin variety of cable used.The lock comes with a pre-set code that you can not change.I wouldn't buy this lock to protect a bike of any significant value.

Bought this to fit in my small Banjo Brothers Deluxe Seat Bagto use as an emergency and to keep with my bike at all times. The lock is small enough to keep in the tiny bag and perfect for locking up my bike for a few minutes to run in a store. It is a nice lock for what it is but I would not recommend to use as a primary lock on a bike for long term, as it is small and could possibly be broken into or cut. Exactly what I wanted, but you are stuck with the pre-set combination, no complaints here.

The one thing is that it picks the word for you. Not ideal but okay. Otherwise just what I wanted. Black and thin short cable so not obvious or ugly. I'm using this with a locking briefcase for my Dad who is in nursing care since they are uncomfortable with valuables like his iPad or cash being left out. The combo lock is small but sturdy, good contrast between white letters and black background. Combo letters spin easily and don't stick. Good quality lock especially given the low price.

We purchased this lock for our 7-year-old to use, I really liked the idea of having a word to remember instead of a number combination or key to keep track of. We have used it for just over 2 weeks, 10 school days total. It is already falling apart! The "teeth" portion of the lock catch on the plastic combination ring and practically pulls the thing apart when trying to unfasten the lock. I can't believe this lock has so many good reviews, it is basically the quality of something you could find at the local Dollar Store.

So far so good. Bought it for my 9 year old who now takes his scooter to school. We didn't get it to prevent theft just so that it's not accidentally taken by another child so I couldn't tell you how well it would hold up. I specifically selected it for it's word lock (easier for my son to memorize) and don't mind that it's preset.
