Blink Outdoor Camera Wall Mount Bracket, Full Weather Proof Protective Housing Cover with Adjustable Mount for Blink XT2/XT Indoor Outdoor Home Security Camera System (Black, 2 Pack)

I have now bought 5 of these excellent mounting brackets for any cameras I'm using outside. The mount is in 2 parts the base is easy to install into a wall and a protective cover which comes apart (held together by 4 tiny screws) to contain the camera. It is then a simple operation to screw the protective cover on to the base and a locking wheel holds the cover in position on the thread. It is a simple matter to adjust the angle of the camera by slackening a nut on the base (by hand) which fixes the metal swivel joint and re-tightening once the desired angle is found. There seems very little danger of the camera angle changing as these mechanisms hold the camera securely. These are much better than the standard mounts that come with the Blink XT2 which are much less secure to fit the camera to and have the added danger that the camera could drop off whilst fitting.

First-time reviewer - be kind.Before purchasing I was sure to have a look at a variety of different products & read through a number of reviews.I have to say, I am not disappointed with the product.These are very easy to install, took me roughly 30 minutes to have mounted on my house. So far, they are brilliant. They give you much better viewing angles than the ones provided by Blink.All the parts are provided, so no need to buy anything additional. The only slight criticism is that the plugs provided don't see to be the best quality - I'm sure they'll hold up but I switched them out for some which I had to hand.I'm definitely going to purchase some more when I get some more Blink Cameras.

I bought a pack of 2 last year and used one straight away and the other just recently. They protect the camera well by fully enclosing other than the strip at the front for the lens and sensor. The joint is fully articulated and allows a wide range of movement. Needs to be hand tightened as much as possible to lock in position but once it is done works very well.

Very easy to mount and is better than the standard ones that are supplied with the blinks. Very durable product and and adds more ease for positioning the blink system. Would recommend this product.

Having identified Blink XT2 system was suitable for my home security needs, followed this up with reading reviews and watching You Tube setting up videos, What became clear is the supplied Blink XT2 bracket was insufficient for my needs especially as both cameras were to be positioned outside. Suffice to say, positive reviews and customer experiences pointed me towards the Sonomo weatherproof cover and mount system. I bought a two pack and received them next day.For the price point, I thought these were excellent. The covers are robust and secured by the backplate of the cover with 4 small screws which Sonomo thoughtfully supplied a screwdriver in the box for. The mounting came with plugs and screws for wall fixing. Once up, it was simply screwing the waterproof cover to the ball joint and then the onto the wall mounting. Adjust camera position to suit and job done. Simples. I note some people complaining about rust on the exposed metal parts which can be offset by a suitable lubricant or grease at time of fitting.Overall, the cover and mount does what it says on the tin, is well made and at a competitive price. Round it off with a decent guarantee and customer service. Recommended product.

Bought two of these to use with my external Blink cameras. The bracket that comes with the cameras is pretty useless so thought I'd go with these. At first I was surprised not to see any instructions with them but on closer inspection the bracket really is pretty intuitive to set up so no instructions were required. The cameras are no attached to my brick wall and so far so good. Good value and does what it says on the tin.

I'm using 4 of these Blink XT2 mounts. I needed them to be able to get the cameras into better positions, either further away from a wall or looking down more steeply than the standard mount will allow. They also seem to stop rain droplets ruining the picture, or are certainly better than a naked camera. They fit the cameras absolutely perfectly, you just put the camera inside and tighten up the 4 small screws. It doesn't shake or move at all when inside. I guess in theory they add a bit of weather protection but the cameras are waterproof anyway, so his shouldn't really matter. Mine have offered a little protection from my slightly overzealous use of a hedge trimmer at times. The mount feels 'ok' in terms of build quality but its certainly not what you'd call heavy duty. In fairness to it, i've had mine over a year and they are fine except for some rust on the arm that screws into the camera case...hence down a star. Three screws secure the mount to a fence or wall etc and then the camera can be pointed pretty much anywhere you like, up to 90 degrees, i.e. straight down. You then tighten a plastic collar which essentially tightens up against a metal ball joint. Again, it doesn't feel overly sturdy but mine have been out in some pretty terrible weather at times and they've held up. The times they have moved is when a cat or similar has knocked into them climbing onto a fence etc. One benefit of these is that you can detach the camera from the mount in order to change the batteries without changing the angle of the mount (if you are careful). That might help some. Overall built to a price but a year on they seem to be holding up and do work, so I can't really complain. I'd buy again.
