Redi Shade No Tools Original Arch Light Filtering Cellular Fabric Shade Natural, 72" W x 36" H

We have a circular window at the top of our office with the sun shining in very strong in the afternoon. We had the cheaper paper shade before and it just never looked very good. Custom made "real" blinds were going to be several hundred dollars so we decided to give this a try and cut our losses if it didn't work out. This cellular shade is all we need. From the outside it's impossible to tell it isn't a real cellular shade and inside is close enough. Cons are that it's not as easy to cut as they make it look and you have to be *very* careful - a slight deviation from perfectly straight on the cut will be much more noticeable once you expand it. It's also more difficult to install than the video looks and I had to move it around quite a bit to get the accordion effect to look even but, once it's done, you never have to touch it again. I considered only giving 4 stars because of this but, for the price, I still think it justifies 5. The only time I wouldn't recommend this is if you're installing it in the main part of your house (our's was in a side office) and are very picky about appearances as it's going to be tough to get that cut perfect. For the rest of us, a great option for the price and definitely recommended!

Looked good for 11 hours then the adhesive stayed stuck to the window seal but the shade pulled away from the adhesive and folded up.

I love this light diffuser. It's. Not a blackout shade and it's not just 1 layer. Helps with the heat in our house and is made of good quality. You're going to want to trim this with a brand new razor blade for the cleanest edge.

We love the redi shades & they do just what they are supposed to do which is block out the sun that streams in the window making my thermostat run constantly. However, when we opened the first box, there was no glue. We had to try to find the right kind of glue which took two times & when we did it was not cheap. When we opened the second package, it had glue with it. Obviously, someone returned the first box we opened & it was sold to us. This was unscrupulous. We did make it work, despite a lot of extra time involved finding the right glue. There was no glue anywhere to be found not in the package or box.

Measure&cut...easy. Install easy BUT unless you sills are smoothed it’s a pain. We live in the desert and have texture walls/sills & tape ends would pop up. Easy fix.....thumb tacks. Tack each side down & it stays put. My arch window is high enough that no one can see tacks. 😊

First, this is a very attractive product. That being said, it was a pain in the behind to install! The sticky strips do not stick very well and it’s mainly because the pull of the fan part is too extreme. In addition we had to trim it, which was NOT easy to do. With some additional two sided tape and dome duct tape it finally stays. I’m not sure I would purchase this again.

You trim it to fit - we used a knife. It also needs to sit on something flat. Looks great and easy to put up.

Product does not work as intended. The material is not sufficiently flexible for the adhesive to hold in place. The shade is stiff and taught causing too much pull on the adhesive.
