Series 1 back to life again. Pretty good battery so far, and this comes with B-7000 glue
After my original 2015 Apple Watch battery bulged a few years ago, I decided to finally tackle this and attempt a battery replacement. This did not come with instructions, but there are videos online showing in good detail how to accomplish this. It's a slightly delicate procedure and if you take the time and have patience, this can be done with no problems. This comes with the tools that are needed, I did find the blue rounded triangle "guitar pick" looking pry tool pretty fragile, a piece chipped off and fell into the watch, causing no damage or problems with the watch. Once the screen was ajar, prying out the old flawed battery was no problem. I was able to connect the new battery, which for me was a bit tricky because the connection - ribbon is very small. Just use patience like I said. Once connected, I did NOT secure the battery to the watch yet...but closed the watch screen using tiny scotch tape. I wanted to make sure the battery charged and held a charge. I had power, icon on my watch, a lightning bold with a "snake / curved line" This just showed the new battery was totally dead, so you have to leave it on the charger for 10-15 minutes and then you should see the Apple logo, watch is booting up. Thankfully this was the case for me. The watch charged with no problems and as of right now is holding that charge, still at 100% after 50 minutes. It's certainly far better than the old battery - before it ballooned up - where I would lose 40-60% in 30 minutes. I then used the adhesive found on the bottom of the battery to secure it inside the watch. The final thing I have to do is secure the screen back to the watch case again. I did read the thin 3M adhesive that comes with this is tricky and not that strong, Not sure, but I'll find out. Other option to secure the screen to case is the B-7000 glue. This kit, at least mine came with a small tube of this glue.I'm happy so far, How long this battery will last...time will tell. Even though this Series 1 is totally obsolete and yeah, the watch / OS is a bit slow, sluggish now compared to the new Series, I'm just happy it's functional again. I simply did not watch to throw out, recycle a nice black stainless steel Apple Watch.** EDIT / UPDATE ** - The 3M adhesive that comes with this to secure the screen back to watch case did fail, screen loosened after just a few days - as I feared going by previous reviews. The other, perhaps better option is using the B-7000 glue to secure the screen back to the watch case, which I will tackle today. This should hold it together hopefully.

Connector doesn’t fit Apple Watch!
The battery replacement went smoothly up until I tried to connect the battery to the watch. It turns out that this replacement connector is just ever so slightly too large. The battery will not stay connected to the watch’s plug (see photo). If you’ve ever replaced apple products you know that these connectors are very common; however, they require that the dimensions match perfectly to get that nice “snap” into place. This one just didn’t have that snap and easily separates. If you do try to install one of these, make sure you test the watch prior to sealing it back up!

Great battery at a great price.
This battery works great. Other people trashing this battery probably just didn’t install it correctly. After the install, you need to calibrate the battery. Let the watch go completely dead. It may take an hour, it may take a day. After the battery is completely drained, charge the watch uninterrupted on the original charger to 100%. It should start right up. Repeat the discharge/charge cycle at least once more to finish calibrating the battery.

Works
The battery look just like the factory one; I charge the watch and it last for days before recharge. The kit also comes with a sealant that is not listed.

Good Replacement Battery
Replaced the original (three year old) Apple Watch 7000 Series battery, which was swollen to three times its size, with this one. It’s working well. As a guide I used the YT video from Jerry Rig Everything. Look it up, it’s very helpful. The battery holds a good charge and lasts just as long as when the watch was new. Excellent price!
