Very tasty but a bit pricey for the amount of cookies in a tin

I've been ordering different Danish cookies, trying to find the perfect ones that I recall from the past. These are it!!!!! Don't order any other, nothing matches the flavor, richness and quality of these cookies. Everyone else is an imitator!!!!

Are they really different? Yes. Here's how: Every corner store in the States has the same $2 round tins of similar-looking and similar-tasting butter cookies. They get more commonplace during the holidays and everyone more or less tolerates the actual cookies inside. Perhaps even more commonplace is that we all know someone who has repurposed the empty tins as sewing boxes or maybe even refilled them with other (tastier) treats. But let me assure you that while those tins and these tins may look similar on the outside, they are NOT holding the same quality cookies inside. I could taste the richness of real butter at the very first bite of these. They are actual shortbread, and each style is slightly different in its sweetness, texture, crispness. One variety even has actual currents baked in! They are all different and lovely little sweet buttery morsels and I'm bummed it took me 40 years to taste the real thing for the first time. Give these a try. Worse that can happen is you end up giving them away to coworkers while enjoying your brand new sewing tin.

I grew up with Kjeldsens Cookies. The taste and quality has been going downhill in a major way. First, it is less buttery than before. Second, upon opening, the cookies are not as crispy as before. All in all, I even suspected it is a knockoff but this is a niche product so I really doubt that counterfeit can make money. The 2-pound package seemed to have better taste than the 1-pound counterpart.

The cookies are great but you are buying a small tin for the money. You can get twice the amount of the same quality if you shop around. Also seller will not cancel the order for you even if it was ordered an hour before and had not shipped yet.

I have been looking for the original Swedish cookies for 30 years; the kind with currants and real butter, and a real quality product I used to eat in the 60s at my family's home. Nirvana! Except for one thing...they came crushed exactly as other reviewers said. This company could make a much bigger profit if only they would package their product well protected. I would have purchased several tins Except I knew of this shipping snafu. Please, please fix this problem!

Ordered two times. In terms of taste they are great, just the right amount of sweetness. They do break, Amazon has poor packaging and the transportation could be violent, but broken cookies still taste the same! So if you are buying those as a gift they are probably not good looking because of possible broke cookies, but great if they are for yourself

The butter cookies were fresh, the can was wrapped well and I'd buy from the Seller again.
