Rescued my CDs after the Great Flood
Firstly a disclaimer; I am almost the last person listening to and buying CDs! These days you have to buy them from charity shops as CD shops have vanished. Did you know that CDs lasted less long in the marketplace than Cassettes. By two years!Secondly some history. In late September 2022 Hurrican Ian, which had been headed to Tampa, strengthened to Category 5 and took a sharp right into Sanibel Island. For a while the island disappeared as a 9 foot tidal surge of seawater, sludge and sewage went across the island. Well over 1000 homes, including ours, were single story houses and were wrecked. We have walls and roofs and most windows but the contents of the house and its drywall are in a huge pile by the road. Two months later the island still looks like a war zone.Did I mention that I had about 1500 CDs, classical, oldies and blues. All went into the 9 inches of vile sludge at the bottom of the house. About 850 were recovered , their boxes and inserts soaking wet and headed straight for the pile. The filth on the CDs just had to be wiped off and those where the water had got in the laminate or the fall had damage them , had to be thrown. Some were never seen again, maybe floated off elsewhere. We have a Chevvy Corvette wheel in our yard from at least 1/2 mile away (everyone lost their cars, of course). Where have my Maazel Sibelius or Beach Boys CDs ended up?So the result is that I have over 500 CDs , with no covers or inserts in sad piles. But they are, like us, survivors! And (to finally get to the point- sorry) this Amazon Basics product is excellent. It is much tougher than it looks in the picture, the zip is nice and sturdy and cleverly designed so it is easy to use. And it takes hundreds and hundreds of CDs. Though be careful to lift the case by the body when it gets full. All in all a really excellent CD storage if you don't mind losing the pictures and info .IF this terrible flood was caused by a deity there are clear indications as to it's taste. It loves Beethoven and Janacek but not Brahms, Dvorak or Sibelius. And definitely hates Beach Boys , Beatles and other British Invasion groups, not to mention CCR. Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris and Neil Young. In the latter case , my wife agrees...

Everything fits and it's solidly made
I have long used CD cases to store my discs. I have too many to keep in the jewel cases. I like to keep the booklets and back page from the jewel cases with the discs. They are of a similar thickness as a disc. So, instead of 400 discs I put about 200, with the booklets and back page in the slot next to the disc. The plastic is thick enough and reasonably strong. The booklets fit well with a little wiggle. The case takes the 200 discs plus 200 booklets easily with room to spare. I haven't used it much as I just got it, but it won't be in daily use anyway as I use a digital library for playback, saving damage to the discs, but it seems sturdy and we'll made. I would buy another one happily if I needed more space. Well worth the money. I would have given 5 stars but the way the zipper is configured I don't think it is as dust proof as I would like. But it will be put away where dust should not be a major issue.

Great dvd case.
I got this for our dvds 7 years and it’s been holding up great well holding plenty of dvds all well keeping them from getting broken ( as my 3 year old has jumped on top of them many of times without any problems). Will be getting a second one soon as we have filled our first one up.

Not a perfect solution, but a good choice at a good price.
I don't know that there is any perfect solution to storing your CD collection absent their original jewel cases, but this is a good choice at a good price.I wanted to reduce the volume of my collection, and retain as best as possible the liner notes and back cover notes which often provide the songs, song lengths, and performers. I haven't found a solution that does this, so I'll describe what I did here. The cases come in either a 128 or 400 CD offering. The larger of the two will be very heavy and bulky when fully loaded, so I chose instead to divide my collection into Jazz, Rock, Country, etc. and use multiple smaller cases. One of my cases has two smaller collections in it.These cases remind me of a case for a laptop computer, using the same materials and construction. The zipper around three sides protects the CDs from dust and dirt. A number of folks are concerned about scratches from this type of storage system. To this I would say 1) CDs were designed to withstand a certain amount of light scratching without skipping and 2) if you keep the disks clean they are unlikely to be scratched when they are inserted or removed. If the idea of a scratch keeps you up at night, you probably are better off leaving your CDs in the jewel cases. Now to the actual storage. The 128 CD case consists of 16 double sided sleeve pages, each sleeve page with 4 pockets on the front and 4 pockets on the back. The sleeve pages are permanently fixed in the case, so they cannot be rearranged or removed, and no new pages can be inserted. At first I thought this was a limitation, but I don't now, because I don't see how rearranging pages would be an actual benefit, especially if you are trying to keep your CD's in alphabetical order.I did arrange mine alphabetically by artist, since I don't purchase CDs much anymore. I'll just put any that I do buy at the end, until I feel like doing a complete re-shuffle, which could be never. Some CDs are by multiple artists and I put those at the end, alphabetical by title. On to the liner notes and back cover notes. I don't think any product provides a solution for this, and the reasons became clear. You'll find that your liner notes (what's in the front jewel case cover) can be of several types: stapled booklet - either thin or thick, single sheet, tri-fold, six-fold, twelve-fold. You might have no jewel case at all - just a folded cardboard CD case. You'll be tempted to stuff the notes into the pockets with the CD, and this will work about half the time. I found about half of mine needed special treatment, including trimming on the right side with a sharp pair of scissors, in order to squeeze them in with the CD. Whether you can do this depends on the thickness of the booklet and even whether there is something thick in the pocket on the opposite side. Sometimes I gave up and granted the notes a separate pocket of their own. If your priority is ease of use, and you don't mind the extra volume, you can decide to use one pocket for the notes and one for the CD. Multiple CD albums will require an extra pocket for each extra CD, of course.A tri-fold booklet is a problem because if you were to trim the right side, you would cut off one of the folds, leaving you with separate pages. That might work, but I chose to turn those books vertically, and trim the top so they would fit with the CD and remain intact.About the rear cover notes. With a small flat screwdriver you can pry the jewel case apart without damage, and remove those notes. You'll become expert at this after a few. I stacked them all together, and then put about 20 per pocket at the rear of the case.

Good for movie or CD collectors
Almost full of Blu-rays and DVDs. Very easy to use. Getting a little heavy because it's almost full. Zipper doesn't get stuck
