Carries My 210 Pound Booty Comfortably!!
I have a front and back patio where I have cactus gardens, plus flowers and other bushes and trees throughout the front and back yard. I have been taking a Homer Bucket <you know - the orange buckets from Home Depot> and turning it upside down and using it as a seat to sit on while I water.I found this little Garden Hopper and decided to try it out.It is PERFECT!I'm able to sit my 210 pound booty on this little helper and wheel myself all over my patio's to water everything, and weed or whatever else needs to be done. This Hopper is very comfortable to sit on, and I had no issues or problems wheeling myself around. No creaks letting me know it was about to cave in. My booty didn't break anything! When I am finished, I do not have lines on the booty or the back of my legs from the bottom of that bucket...which kind of hurts after being on that bucket for a while. There is a little place under the seat <that does NOT lift up> to put some tools or whatever....not a ton of space but enough to put a few things. There is a cup holder in the front, but it would have to be either a small cup or a skinny tall cup. My cups do not fit in this holder, and honestly....not much else would fit because it's made specifically for a cup. Maybe a pack of cigarettes? A Capri Sun <kid drink>.I had no problems with this Hopper. It does exactly what it says it does, and it does it well. It is all plastic so I put mine on either patio until I need it again. It's been raining here in Central Texas for 8 days straight...hard rain....alll dayyy longggg...and it's just fine. There's nothing to rust so it just gets wet and dries out <occasionally!!!>.All in all - this is a GREAT little helper. No more booty dents. I can sit my heavy butt on it for a long time <front patio takes 2 hours to water/weed everything ~ back takes about an hour> without any problems at all.Definitely worth it and I would recommend. Very happy with my purchase!

Sit Down While You Garden. YES.
My knees feature arthritis and torn menisci. In my ankle, I have an injured Achilles tendon that I should give a name to, because I've had it much longer than all of my college boyfriends combined. Since I can't jog, ride, or rock climb (as if I wanted to), I garden. That seems sedate, right? But crouching in the garden, weeding, means that you put your weight on your feet, and swivel on your knees to reach a new spot. Oh, wait, I hurt something that was already hurt years ago. Damnit, I'm old. This cart is awesome. You put hand tools in the bottom so you can groom your garden without injuring yourself. Put a box nearby for the weeds (do not put the weeds in the bottom of the cart - you'll never get it clean again and gardening is about staying clean). You can roll to follow the shade, roll to get to the weediest part of the yard, roll to avoid a problem area, roll to get another Gin & Tonic. Rolling just rocks. The wheels don't swivel, they only go one way - we're not looking at a shopping cart here - but hooray, they are there and it's not like the weeds are leaping behind you. And there's no brake, like a wheel chair, but then, you're not paying for a wheelchair, either (and I'm certainly not ready for one, thank you very much). It's not the most expensive (tractor seat) version, and it's therefore not the heaviest (which is good because I don't have a staff to carry my tools). The wheels mean you can move around without getting up every two minutes - which is the worst part of gardening (the work). The seat does not lift off (in case you think from the picture it does) but can support up to 220 lbs, so theoretically Santa could weed. Most importantly: It's available now! now! now! from Amazon, unlike from hardware stores who carry it in the winter but think it's out of season in the summer. Honestly, there's a reason brick and mortar stores struggle.

Sturdy, functional, good value (but not good for pea gravel terrain)
This is one of the best rated garden hoppers and one of the few that was narrow enough to fit our garden path, which are the reasons I purchased this as a gift. It certainly is a sturdy little hopper, light weight and not too wide. It was a comfortable height for an average-sized person to lean over and pick beans or weed a raised bed garden.DH did not like the plastic wheels because they didn't function on the pea gravel of the pathways. He wanted to like this Step2 Garden Hopper, it even has a cup holder!Next year, the beds will be adjusted to accommodate a wider wheel base and a different hopper with rubber tires. We only returned this product because it didn't work on our terrain.
