Ben and Jerry's has always been a staple of my growing up. The half baked is their signature and best selling flavor. The cookie dough and brownie combination is a ode to everyone's childhood of late night snacks and ice cream. While it's delicious, it is getting to be more expensive - unfortunately, more of an occasional treat rather than a household staple.

I bought this ice cream as a treat for my young niece. I don't generally eat ice cream since I don't feel I need the fats and sugar, but Ben and Jerry's is a great brand, and my niece loved this ice cream so much she convinced me to eat a small bowl of it. (Something I only do about once a year, if that.) Well, I must say, it was very good, and I don't know any child who wouldn't love it. It's half-baked brownies and unbaked chocolate chip cookie dough. I never met a child who didn't love brownies and chocolate chip cookie dough! Even I thought it was delicious! I do have a sweet tooth, but I keep it under strict control. I have to. I'm very small, and even ten extra pounds on my very small frame might look like fifty! If I'm craving something sweet, I usually stick to fresh fruit or berries. This was good for my yearly dish of ice cream, though. Well, it was delicious. I ate my small bowl slowly, savoring every bite. My niece, on the other hand, couldn't eat hers fast enough. She wanted that second bowl! She didn't get it, though. Sweets can be addicting, and I'm trying to teach her good eating habits. If you do eat ice cream, Ben and Jerry's is a wonderful brand, and Ben and Jerry's Half Baked is a delicious flavor. If you love brownies and chocolate chip cookie dough, like my niece, you might find this flavor irresistible. I always order ice cream - for my niece and for guests - from Whole Foods, and I've never had a delivery in which the ice cream was melted to any degree. I love Whole Foods delivery service, and I'll continue to use it. It's been heaven sent for me.
