Best blade for cement board
Used this to cut hardy board cement siding with a circular skil saw. This blade cut the boards like butter. There is cement dust but not as much as there wolud be with a regular blade. So you do have to wear a good face mask with removable filters because the silica in the cement board is toxic. Also Eye protection because the dust and particles do fly up into your face. I would say it puts out about a quarter the amount of dust a regular blade would and the blade is thin so it cuts a lot easier.

Great Blade for Hardie Plank
It’s an amazing sawblade that does what it’s supposed to do quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. If you need to cut hardy plank with a circular saw, this is what you need.

Best blade for fiber cement
Paneled my house with Hardie Fiber Cement. This thing worked like a champ on my B&D saw. A little expensive but well worth it. If I had to do it over again, I would have also bought a 10" one for my table saw. Would have made the job that much easier. I put 60 sheets of siding on the house and there were A LOT of cuts. This blade shows a little wear but I think it would do another 60 if I needed to and fiber cement is hard on blades.

I am a homeowner and didn't want to struggle with a project I was building. This is worth it. It zips right through the fiber cement board.

Sometimes you have to pay a little more when you get the right tool for the job.
I just finished building a four-bay garage and am currently siding it with James Hardie siding material. Just before I got to work I learned I needed a special four-tooth, diamond-tipped blade for my circular saw. I could have used regular blades, I guess, if I had a stack of them and didn't mind swapping them out every few cuts. According to one source, this blade will last five or six projects. Since I have only one project, this one blade is overkill. It cuts beautifully. Straight, true and almost without resistance. Pros: It's the tool for the job. Cons: It's expensive. When I am through with my siding project I'll have to store this blade carefully in case I need it again in the future.
