Its packaged well and arrives looking like a high end piece of kit costing at least twice the price. The tungsten scribing blade is sharp and attaches tightly with no play. For use as a mortise gauge it's perfect. Materials and quality of anodising are excellent and it feels "serious " not like a plastic toy. However...the rollers which enable circle scribing have an irritating wobble which will throw you off by around half a millimetre if you don't keep it tight against the edge of the workpiece. Other than that single minor irritation I am a happy boy.

Great quality and does the job. One thing that is mildly annoying which they should redesign is that the rollers that run along the edge of the work piece are only just long enough to reach the edge of a work piece to be scribed when a pencil is held in the pencil holder - those rollers could do with being about 20mm longer.

Got this for my dad to do some work at home it works good and makes much easier to draw the line this also come with the box to keep the accessories, which not going to lost it overall, I'm very pleased with it

What a jewel this item is. Beautifully designed and finished, extraordinary value for money. OK, three times the price of a plain beechwood marking guage, but ten times the quality and gone is the coarse gouging of a line with a pin, deflected far too easily by knots, grain etc, this tool has a tungsten steel blade, stainless rod laser etched from both ends in millimeters, feels like Teflon coated reference surface, and doesn't get mistracked by the grain of the timber you're marking. It's a joy!

It sold itself to me when I first saw it, however it has down sides The scribing wheel is fixed, ie doesn't rotate, so some grains cause the wheel do be derailed from the correct line. I only minimised that by pressing really hard against the body of the scribe. The twin rollers on the other side of the scribe body are too close that would be ideal, so I found that if I didn't concentre fully and didn't apply substantial pressure on the rollers one of them would lift away from rounded profiles. Probably my failing but I've reverted to other scribes now because this one isn't as easy as I had expected.

Is only as accurate as your eyesight but within that limitation very well made and good quality. Does the job well, not disappointed.

Positive aufgefallen -sehr gute Verarbeitung -Ersatzschrauben mit dabei -Scala im Rundstab eingelassen, nicht nur aufgedruckt -klasse Verpackung, jetzt habe ich noch eine kleine Blech-Box für Krimskrams -es echt macht Spaß mit dem Teil zu arbeiten Ich würde es weiterempfehlen und auch nochmals kaufen
