Byron 2201/2 Wired Door Bell Push - Satin Chrome

This is overall an excellent product, good push action and easy to install. Two minor points for improvement1. A slightly longer and vertical connector would be better2. The screws supplied are twice as long as necessary, didn't use in case I nicked the cable.

The good is that the bell is reasonably priced and looks quite smart. That's about it. I have three issues: if you can live with them, this is bell push for you. 1. It is provided with screws made from especially soft metal. Do not use them, or if you do, ensure that you have pre-drilled fully for a relatively easy screw entry. If you have to work at these screws, they will break, as I discovered. 2. The LED is a challenge to put in as the bell push had been amply glued, and the instructions were next to useless. 3. Where a bell push should go bing-bong, my bell has retained the bing but lost the bong. I would not rebuy it, but it was cheap, and so at least I have a bell that bings, for now.

Poor button mechanism, after 9 months the button now continuously sticks and you can see that this is because the button mechanism is a cheap plastic sealed unit. It went in the bin. Replaced it with a Friedland bell push, which is better quality.

Although I'm very happy with the appearance of the door bell, the actual quality of the back section was on this occasion very disappointing.The back section which contains the thread kept coming apart.In the end I had to super glue it
