My son broke the zipper on his expensive wheelie backpack for school. The company did not stand behind their product stating abuse. So, YaHoGa Zipper to the rescue. This is one large and sturdy zipper. Perfect size, length, and ruggedness for the job. Took quite a bit of time to remove the old zipper and hand sew this one in, but I'm glad I did. There is NO WAY, my son is going to break this one!Note for anyone repairing a backpack... Remove the "teeth" from the old zipper, but leave the cloth from the old zipper. That way, you can sew this zipper onto the the cloth from the old one which makes life a lot easier. I folded over the edge of the old zipper cloth and pinned to new zipper before sewing. This made it look clean and provided greater strength. Worked like a charm. Good luck on your project!

These are very nice quality, sturdy zippers, of which I purchased two. I was originally sent the wrong size for one, but they rectified it quickly. My only complaint on the zipper itself is that the slightest pressure would dislodge the locking mechanism. I installed them in our rack sack, which is a fabric car top carrier, and both the forward zippers would work their way open with the wind turbulence in spite of the wide Velcro enclosures around them and assuring that the zipper lock was engaged before travel. Thankfully we didn't lose anything. Though I looked forward to having the double zipper, I ended up sewing the front one shut, which really wasn't world ending. If the zipper lock isn't critical for you, I'd highly recommend this zipper. They are very nice.

Yep, I sewed this into my jacket and now I feel so much more satisfied with the heavy duty zipper action. Don't get me wrong, a lighter weight zipper worked and did the trick. Zipper is sturdy and durable but the zipper pull is metal and way too oversized, clunky and noisy. It makes a chinging sound when you walk.

I replaced the zipper in my Columbia winter coat with this heavy duty zipper. What a difference it has made! My coat zipper no longer jams and I have confidence that this heavy duty zipper will last for many more years!

zipper is super beefy and heavy duty. if your tired of crappy zippers not lasting, get one of these. Now I just have to take it in and get it installed.

Like the description says, this is a very sturdy zipper. Probably better suited to tents & equipment rather than clothing.
