Hight quality
Excellent for fine work. The fit of the different heads is excellent and nice that the dead blow weight can be removed and stored in the handle

Good hammer, bad quality control batch, great customer service!!
I purchased this hammer to do light-duty jobs such as tapping pins. Used it a few times and then suddenly, the hammer body cracked in half! I emailed the manufacturer with a picture of the broken hammer, and, within 24 hours of my writing, they had a new hammer shipped out priority mail. Here is the customer service representative's response: "I apologize for the cracked head. The hammer you have is from an older production run where the heat treating company that did the hardening for us had over hardened some hammers and mixed them in with the whole batch. I will send you out a new hammer body today from the latest batch that was hardened by the same company that does many Snap-on brand tools – their heat treating has been top quality. The hammer body has a lifetime warranty so if you ever have any issue just contact us and we will stand behind the product." While I was frustrated with the broken hammer, I have a lot of respect for this company.

I had this hammer for 11 days and used it ...
I had this hammer for 11 days and used it three or four times. The threaded section of the head snapped off and fell to the floor. If you plan on purchasing just know that this is a light duty hammer.

3 hammers, 3 failures
Purchased 2 of these direct from the manufacturer. In short order, one of them broke with the striking end breaking off. Was replaced under warranty. Within a year, both the replacement and the second original hammer broke. The heads are screwed into the steel hammer body and that area of the body is super thin, so the body breaks right at the threaded section. Additionally, the steel and brass heads cause the threads to corrode, seizing the heads in place. The second hammer broke when I tried to unscrew the steel head to exchange it for the plastic one. They can't even bother to put some grease or anti-sieze on the threads to prevent this problem. The replacement hammer broke during use, with the usual split at the threaded area. Nice idea, horrible execution and they don't care enough to fix the design flaws.

Well Made Professional Quality Hammer.
This is a very well machined hammer. The head has a good fit on the handle, the interchangeable heads fit snuggly and neatly, the "O" ring on the heads keep them from coming loose. There are other heads available from the manufacturer. Rather pricey but worth it. I only gave it 4 stars because there is no dead blow weight in the handle for when you strike with the handle head, the weight in the head is solid and I believe that shot absorbs the bounce better. Over all this is the best made machinist/gunsmith hammer I've found. I would recommend this hammer.
