Hot Wheels Ghostbusters ECTO-1 2013 Retro Limited Edition 1:64 Scale Collectible Die Cast Car

I ended up buying 3 of these. One for my son to play with and he loved it. The other as a display piece and the last one as Christmas ornament. It has served all three purposes well.

A fun collectors item. This version of the Ecto-1 is a up grade from the original that Hot Wheels released. The equipment on the top of Ecto has more color to it, and the packaging is more fun to look at. Over all, another fun addition to have for any Ghostbuster fan.

Car is made well and an exeact replica of the actual car. I liked the packaging of this Hot Wheels over the standard Hot Wheel packaging. My son loved it for his 7th birthday!

The detail is very good. High quality Hotwheels car, perfect for any collection of movie type vehicles like the ones I own.

At a glance it doesn't look much different than the standard Hotwheels version of the Ectomobile except for the colored in roof rack.It is not the same; there is more care and attention put in to the colors of the main car (and the roof rack) plus the tired are different and made to look like the white walls and silver rims of the 59 Cadillac Miller-Meteor this car is based on.The windows of the car are clear versus the standard Hotwheels version which is blue; I bring this up because the blue glass also double for the light bars on the standard to give it that cool blue glass finish; but this fancier version actually had to color in that detail with paint to achieve the finish and appearance.It looks cool in it display bubble blister pack and even cooler sitting out on your desk so you can play with it --*ahem* I mean study it and look upon it with fondness and love of all things Ghostbusters .. before making vroom*vroom and *BREEOW BREEOW BREEOW* onomatopoeic Ghostbuster Ectomobile siren noises

A true upgrade from the last version that hotwheels has released, they make this one a joy to have. for those of ya who havent opened the package, the content on the top of the car clips off which will give ya a sun roof view of the inside, showing the row of proton packs and other goodies. a true find for any fan of the franchise.
