our dog has to wear an e-collar 24hrs a day because he compulsively chews on his feet if he can get to them. so far we'd been using the blue paper collars from the vet at about $26 a pop. unfortunately they fall apart after a couple of weeks from him scratching at them and we find little blue pieces everywhere in the house.i ordered this collar in the hopes that it would do the trick since it's much cheaper than the other kind - i was wary at first because there is no sizing listed and you can't tell what they're made of.when the collar arrived i was very pleased. so far it's been great! i ordered size 3 which is the exact same as the Medium 6.5" ones from the vet. it's very soft and has yet to fall apart from scratching and it's so much quieter when he does scratch at it. we'll see how it holds up after the first time i wash it but so far so good and well worth the price!the only things i would change about this are:- the tie around the neck is made of a shiny thread and therefore doesn't stay tied unless you double-knot it, not very user friendly. something more along the lines of a shoelace material would be easier to get off and on- this ships from PetCareRX and since ordering this i have received many phone calls from them at all times of day and it's highly irritating- post sizing in the product description so you know what to order since you have to pay for shipping

I love these soft cones for my mini poodle, but I've bought the 3 and the 4 from this brand; the 3 is too small and allows him to lick his feet (the problem we're trying to prevent) and the 4 is too large and he trips over it.

I was very disappointed with how this worked. The cone easily folded over and served absolutely no purpose. Not to mention the cone was short and way too open. I am only writing this to warn people from buying it. I wish someone told me not to waste my money on this, buy a different collar. It seriously sucked!

This is what I was looking for- my dog hates the plastic cone and goes hysterical so I have this now just in case a situation arises that would require one- I'm prepared. I hope I never have to use it though! But I wouldn't want to wear the plastic cone either!

Good idea .better than plastic collarHowever size small is too tight for my bichon and size medium is too big (I've ordered two )Size medium slightly too big for my cavalier.I think strings aren't good idea as quite dangerous for the dog and easy to come off . No adjustment on the s size for neck so I had to cut it a bit to make it bigger as it didn't want to fit through her head Even though neck size is fine .i would change strings to elastic band that holds it in its place or have it fitted to the actual dogs collar like some plastic buster collarsAn update: collar is soft and goes backwards letting your dog lick all his wound. I'm bit dissaoonted because I thought I found good product!

These are a great alternative to those hideous stiff plastic colllars the vets sell. I was very disappointed that our vet only offred such a thing without telling me there were alternatives on the market. Do remember when ordering that the size refers as much to the length of your pet's nose as to the collar size. A medium trips our Pomeranian up (who's around 18'' tall from tip of ears to paws). We ordereed a smaller one and she was fine.It wasn't so good when the problem was with her front paws as the softness allowed her to bend it and still access them, however when we wanted to stop her accessing other parts of her body, it did the job just fine. Nice and comfortable to sleep in. You just have to get the tightness of the drawstring right to prevent it falling off.

My dog (lurcher) had an operation on her eyelid so I needed something to keep her from scratching her face, this was ok whilst she was asleep at night but during the day it just turned inside out constantly and went flat. She walks into something = inside out. She trying to rub her eye on me = goes flat and presses against her face.I'd image on a smaller dog it might stand up better but it's not really any good for pointy nosed breeds. Also the sizes are wrong, I ordered a size 2 initially as the size stated would fit her. It didn't, thankfully I got a free replacement.I had to order a different collar in the end, a plastic one.

I first bought size 1 for my cat which if you ask me would fit a hamster! I ended up getting size 3 which is a bit big for him (he's a pretty big 5.5kg cat with a wide fluffy face) but at least I could get it over his head!I like this cone as it allows him to have a comfortable night's sleep, as he has had to have a cone for a long time due to a huge skin wound on his back. However he can easily get out of it using the sofa or under the bed as a wedging tool, even with a double knot, so I only put him in it when I'm home and can supervise him or it would be useless.Being that the fabric is so soft, it's very floppy so I usually put it on backwards giving him more space around his face - he can't get to his back like this either.We call this his flower hat or his space ship as that's what he looks like in it. Happy we got this for added comfort with long term cone use but only suitable when you're with them or they're sleeping.

Yes it's lightweight, yes it's comfortable, however, there is absolutely no structure to this kit, so it will flap backwards on to the dog's body, on our Shih Tzu - he ended up looking like zorro with a little blue cape.Wouldn't recommend. There are better ones around on Amazon
