Savino Set of 2 Wine Saving Carafes, Flint Glass (For Indoor) & Tritan Plastic (For Outdoor)

I have tried other vacuum type preservation systems and found them lacking. After a couple uses, the rubber plug would leak and no longer hold vacuum. I was glad to discover this simple system. Although it is rare to keep a bottle open from Tuesday to Saturday, I have done it on a couple occasions and it worked as well as my senses could detect. The wine seemed the same as the day it was opened. You can't ask for anything more than that. I use one for red and one for white. The carafes seem durable and well made and should last a long time. I'm not sure if the plastic one would get stained by red wine (I have only used it for white) but the glass one looks like new after a few uses.

This is a great product! I accidentally broke a Savino container and replaced it with these. I like the idea of making one in plastic!! Fits perfectly in the refrigerator door and keeps leftover wine perfect. I read about this product in The Chicago Tribune when they first came out. The article was written by a wine expert who tested this product and others. This one proved to be one of the best. I found out where to purchase it direct from the company who made them. I paid much much more for it , $60.00 for 1! Glad I found it once again at Amazon at Half the price and get 2! A bargain !

I was hoping for a good product and I received a great product. Kept my wine tasting fresh both in and out of the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. I was definitely pleasantly surprised.

Wine Carafes are well designed and clearly present a successful alternative to storing opened wine. The floating buoy fits just right to minimize oxygenation. I highly recommend these products as an alternative to vacuum pump storage which has the unenviable problem of removing some aroma elements of wine while in use. - Enologist and Viticulturalist

Even glass version is hard to clean. Red wine leaves a stain. You can remove all the color, but you need a bottle brush and a bit of work. Also be careful pouring the last bit -- the float will come tumbling out unless you pay attention.

Brilliant idea. So easy and effective. Actually, some wine holds even for two weeks. No longer have to pump. Highly recommended.

Work as described. Save wine left over and it tastes as good as or better than other systems. Wish it cleaned itself because in bottle systems while inferior to this product do not require any cleaning.
