Always Only APC
Built my first computer from a kit when I was 13. Over 30 years as an IT professional. Network Systems Engineer from mainframe to DOS to Novell to Linux to Windows from SMB to enterprise to government. Why always only APC?They stand behind their gear. How do I know? After a lightning strike on an optical WAN transmitter that blew through to the Cisco network rack, they sent a guy out next day to examine how their equipment had failed.Took us about a week to repair. Then, about a week later I walked into the office of the director of that utility company with a check for 200 grand.I’ve worked with their guys deploying large scale redundant power arrays for the offices of a multinational stock market company. That involved working with multiple vendors. Total pros. I learned a lot.So yeah. When I say always only APC, I speak from a depth of knowledge.Btw, my mini fridge has 845 minutes battery runtime. I can also play XBOX for many hours after the power goes out. Last time grid power was out , it was out for 8 hours...PS: OMG lmao! Just now (19:15 8 September 2020) there was a grid surge and they just kept my breaker from blowing lol

rotating outlets are such an awesome idea! I have 3 now
I have purchased 3 of these...2 over the past 3 years or so, and another one last week. they make virtually any plugs fit. and I turn unused outlets so that dust won't get in them. they have always seemed very sturdy, the plug has 90-degree turn so it can be behind furniture without bending the wire. love them all! USB is a bonus for me and allows one "fast-charging" device. easy to find a spot for these since device wires don't limit you...you can just rotate it the best way.I recently ran into the first thing that is still a problem, which is a smart plug with the plug in the center. it required 180-degree rotation and then those plugs were what was against the floor.

PE6U2 good surge protector (500V Protection Rating), convenient USB charging, and often on sale for ~$10 -- a great deal
APC 6-Outlet Surge Protector 1080 Joules with USB Charger Ports, SurgeArrest (PE6U2)I Purchased two on 2017-11 for $9.88 each, and purchased one more on 2018-02 for a net price of $10.87 after coupon. This has a 500 Volt Voltage Protection Rating (VPR) across all 3 pair of conductors (Line to Neutral, Line to Ground, Neutral to Ground). That's not as good as the best 400 V rating I've seen on other surge protectors, but still good (I've seen 600 and 800 V ratings also! Lower is better). There is no sticker on the back indicating it's been independently tested to comply with UL 1449, so I assume it's just designed to the 500 V level per UL 1449. On the back of the box it says "APC recommends using the let-through voltage (ANSI C62.41) to determine a surge suppressor's performance." I concur! Let-through voltage was renamed VPR in the 3rd edition of UL 1449 (Sept 2009). I agree that a low let-through or VPR voltage is more important than a very high Joule rating for a surge suppressor, but unfortunately the current marketing trend for this and other models is to not advertise the VPR.6' cord with low-profile, right angle plug is good. 1080 Joules is plenty IMHO. Lifetime warranty. Made in China.I've used the USB charging ports fairly regularly for 5 months now with no problems. I usually charge 1 smartphone at a time, or occasionally a tablet.Very satisfied with the product. A good deal especially if/when the price dips to $10! Deducted 1 star for not advertising the 500 V protection rating, and apparent lack of independent lab testing to verify the UL1449 rating.

High quality. USB. Good length cord.
Got this for my desk setup. Needed something with some USB ports so that I could charge some stuff without needing to buy a separate USB AC adapter. Also needed it to have more than 4 power outlets (which is what most others out there were limited to) and also needed a 6 foot power cord with a flat power plug on the other side. Strangely I found this combination hard to find until I found this. On top of that this isn't a no name product as it's APC, which is a known brand in this category, and the price wasn't outrageous for being so.The actual power stripe also feels very high quality with very good build quality and a slick design. The outlets also require quite a bit of force to get stuff into them. Some people noted this as it being broken, but this is by design to make sure things don't fall out of it. I hate loose power outlets, these things stay in. The cord itself is very light weight and flexible.

Quality power strip.
I have one of these on every room in my house, they provide power protection, well built, sturdy and flat outlet plug fits well behind furniture. Will keep buying these if i ever need more.

The PE66 models are my go to surge protector
The PE66 models are my go to surge protector, and I'll buy it in whatever color goes on sale. I have not noticed any change over the years, with my oldest one being bought over 3 years ago. The sales can vary with prices going as low as $5, but usually I expect to pay around $10.I usually buy the model without the USB ports. APC is a reliable brand, and 1080 Joules is more than enough for the average electronic product. 6 ft is sufficient for most uses, and the flat plug is an absolute requirement for me at this point.

Flexible
Loved the ability to twist the outlets into different directions creating more usable space with large AC bricks. The 2 additional usb ports for charging is really helpful. It’s a little on the larger side though, so it’s not easy to hide.
