Flashback to the hair metal era
I had this album when I was a kid in the late 80s. I still remember asking my mom to buy it for me, and the excitement I had when I put it in my walkman and played it. Back then, I liked just about every track on it. I don't like it as much now as I did then, but I've always enjoyed a huge variety of musical genres and can still appreciate this style. I still enjoy a lot of hair metal music from the era. My favorite songs on Pride are Wait, Don't Give Up, and Lonely Nights, all excellent songs. Don't Give Up is an uplifting rock song. I also like Tell Me quite a bit. Of course the classic When the Children Cry closes the album, and I loved that song when I was little. Another childhood favorite was the album opener, Hungry. This is a great flashback album for anyone who wants to listen to some classic 80s hard rock/hair band music.

This was my first rock LP circa 1990-1991
I Did'nt remember the exact date.... I was on sixth grade at Jose Max Leon High School in Bogotá, Colombia. It was December....but few months after I was listening 88.9 an FM rock Radio... they had a little program called "mini encuentro" and the man behinde the microphone said: "today with White Lion..."...and instanly sounds: Wait, When the Children Cry and Here I Go Again (actually this is not a White Lion song...you know)...I recorded these songs on a compact cassette and was my rock battle for months....finally I complete the money and went to a record store and bought!!!....Now I have this Lp with others loved big black discs... It's still the favourite of my son Felipe...he loves this big white lion with no shades....Few days later, I finally have this on CD...and this is the first time that I can listen the bass sounds better than on my old LP....James Lomenzo is a great bass player....I'm so so happy..this is not my first Cd, but really one of my personal Billboard...Thanks Amazon...In Colombia I can't find this CD for several years....(when it was on the record store, i remember that it was so expensive)

Well then.
As many of my friends say, "Who is White Lion", I must say if you do not know you should probably check your hetro street credentials.

It's still a great album, but not a great remaster...
Vito's guitars sound great, but the bass drums and bass guitars still lack definition. The Dokken remasters sound much better.

Last two songs won't play.
Over all the case and original artwork ECT look good but the last two songs wouldn't play.

Pride remastered
This was a great album first time up but stopped listening to it years ago as sound quality was poor compared to modern recordings and this is very important to me-if you were ever into this or loved 80s Rock get this ,Mike tramp and boy's never sounded so good! This is a great rock album with brilliant constructed songs that now sound better than originally! Plus bonus songs which are also remastered-great buy would highly recommend:-) !

Quite good
I chose this album because of a couple of its songs that I found on YouTube. Admittedly the other songs on the album are not as good as those more well known ones on YouTube, but it was still worth buying the album as opposed to just selecting a few songs and downloading them.A fun Glam Metal / Pop Metal album with a sharp guitar sound and some very catchy songs. A little reminiscent of the band Firehouse. On a couple of the songs the vocals are not so good, but they fit well with the music in most.If you do not like vocals and guitar that are at quite a high pitch, I would advise you not to buy this album. If you like bands such as Def Leppard, Europe etc then I would recommend this album. I would give it 6.8/10

Vito at his best
Classic second album from White Lion with a couple of American hits also. Guitarist Vito Bratta is in amazing form and I've always thought that he was the perfect foil for Ozzy after Jake E Lee left. Cd in good nick also.
