I used the 1 inch bit today to drill thru studs, joists and beams. This works excellent, much better and easier than my standard auger bits. This drills faster and easier since its tapered you dont have all the drag like on a standard auger bit. All the holes drilled clean and no blow out. I would buy these again in a heartbeat and would never go back to the standard auger bit. I saw a complaint about blow out. If your blowing out the exit then stop pushing on it. Let the drill bit drill vs. pushing it thru. I drilled a ton of holes and not one of them blew out, EVERY one was clean.

these bits auger so nice through studs

Bits work ok. I thought they would be better than what were. Just like another reviewer said, bits do get build up on them, so in turn you have to push on them to finish drilling which causes hole blow out. I bought them to replace a mini auger bit that I lost in a wall off of my extension while trying to drill through a 2x4 to my basement. I would probably not buy them again. But I would give a five star to seller. Received them on time, and would buy from seller again.

These are a little too aggressive at creating holes. They tend to bind up quickly. I like my other bits instead.

superb wood drill and it lasts at least three times as long as any similar drill bit but they are difficult to acquire in the uk without a lot of searching on the net

Le punte vanno bene, meglio delle mecchie normali e chiaramente meno pulite di forstner top ma queste servono per fori profondi in carpenteria, non per la microprecisione nei compensati per dire e quindi tutto ok, 5 stelle. Quello che non mi va giù è il fatto che la conversione pollici mm sia errata sia sulla punta da 3/4 che su quella da 1 pollice. In particolare quella da 3/4 fora 19, non 20 come riportato. Quindi occhio ad utilizzarle per fare fori nei banchi da lavoro per cani e pressori, bisogna prendere quelli da 3/4 e non quelli da 20 mm perchè non entrano.
