Authentic flavor and versatile!
Excellent, flavorful, authentic, versatile, easy to use.I use this paste for Thai red curry and to make a Laotian dish called Nam Khao, which is a crispy rice salad. This is my favorite red Thai curry paste!! A little goes a long way and it’s packed with flavor. I’d say it’s barely spicy so if you like spice you’ll need to add that in however you like.Overall great and is something always in my pantry!

The absolute best
This curry paste is AMAZING! You DO need to use it properly. Warm the paste up in a pan, slowly add the coconut milk, heat thoroughly, add honey to taste, and then it tastes exactly like what you pay a lot for in your favorite Thai restaurant. This is the real deal. Check out the ingredients and the percentages : D Put on white rice and add whatever protein you like to the sauce (duck, shrimp, chicken). It's REALLY delicious.

Purchased Dec 2024 - expires 2026 - great!
I like that this Dec 2024 purchase of Panang Curry Paste arrived with a June 2026 expiration date. That was a relief, since some reviews pointed out a much too soon expiration date on a new purchase.EDIT after using: (I found that the spice level is not as high as it was a few years ago. Maybe it's just the batch I received that is not as spicy, but the flavor is still great.)I've used this product for several years and find it is the very best way to make fast Thai dishes that taste like they came from a restaurant. Turn your rotisserie chicken leftovers into a curry or soup! It's spicy, so use sparingly and add to taste, knowing coconut milk tames the heat.Cooking tip to replace lemongrass in recipes is to substitute lemon and lime zest, and use some lemon and lime juice in the recipe, to taste. It's really worth the effort to uses fresh ginger since it takes any recipe to the next level.

Fine Curry Paste, A Bit Salty
Very authentic and tasty red curry paste, but fairly salty, so must use less of other salty condiments (like fish sauce, soy sauce) in recipes. That's fine if you know it, and can tweak those other seasonings by taste before serving.

This stuff is the real deal - omg let me tell you
Finally got around to using this yellow curry paste, and let me tell you, this stuff is amazing. A quarter cup mixed with 2 cans of coco milk, or less coco milk if you like a spicier curry, is amazing. Better than any curry I’ve had out. So simple to make as well. Great single pan dish for a quick dinner.Start the rice. Then scoop out a quarter cup of pasted and some oil to a large-ish pan? And fry up until fragrant. Toss in some coco milk and thinly sliced raw chicken, bring to a boil and add some water and more coco milk. Keep adding coco milk until the heat is where you like it. 1.5 cans of coco milk works well for me. 2 cans works well for my spouse. Add in all the veggies and simmer until veggies are just the right level of doneness for potatoes onion and carrot. Add some sugar and you’re done. Scoop a pile over some white rice and you’ve got a great Thai yellow curry for a 1/4 the cost of a restaurant.I definitely recommend this, and so does my spouse and kids. So easy. So much a great value. Amazing!

So good
This is so good. Unfortunately, this container doesn't last long, even in the fridge, after you open it. I've freezed what I could to make it last longer. If you make a lot of Thai food, then this is worth it. I've only made this once and the dish came out delicious, but I have a short window to use the rest until it expires. I will probably order another container though. There's nothing like making an authentic Thai recipe. So worth it.

Yummy authentic flavor!
We love this brand curry paste. I’ve tried the red, green, Penang and yellow. The yellow is the mildest and the kids favorite. It really has a nice authentic restaurant flavor and very easy to make. You only need 1 tablespoon and a can of coconut milk. Then add any protein/veggies of your choice!
