Works perfect

Good quality and works well at converting from digital to analog output. New video card did not have a vga outout or even a DVIa for my analog tv input and i couldnt use my sound card out on the hdmi so my only option was an adapter to get a vga signal and this works perfectly.

This is a very competent adapter that should work well if you have a monitor that only goes up to 1600x1200@60Hz or lower, but it will not go beyond that. I strongly recommend the extra bit for a StarTech DP2VGAHD20 if you have a monitor that can take higher bandwidths. Pros: - Switches resolutions quickly with no distortion - No major noise in the image - Doesn't cut out while using it - Working at the following resolutions: - 1600x1200@60Hz - 1200x900@100Hz - 1024x768@115Hz - 512x480@60Hz (good for SNES emulation) Cons: - Some resolutions are blurrier than my native output - Not working resolutions: (which are compatible with a GPU with VGA out) - 1920x1440@60Hz - 1600x1200@75Hz

Product is non functional. I cannot return it because I didn’t get a chance to test it until a few days after its return period and Amazon sucks now. It KIND OF works, I read on a thread that the VGA to DisplayPort adapters are better than the uGreen VGA to HDMI adapters, but now this one. I also purchased that HDMI TO VGA adapter and it works perfectly fine, even get sound. I thought maybe the picture quality would be better on this CRT monitor (excellent shape monitor) with the DP to VGA here but no, if I make the picture too big on the crt monitor it becomes very blurry and kind of splits the image. That does not happen with the HDMI to VGA adapter. I had to try both adapters but yeah, this one seems hit or miss and the one that I got sucks balls. Connection quality is basically the same as the HDMI adapter but this one only lets you make the image so large before it starts wigging out and warping the image and freaking the f out. I wish I could get a refund or quality replacement but Amazon’s new stricter return windows and policies ruined it for everyone cuz too many people took advantage. It’s kind of pricey too for something that doesn’t work! $15 bucks for a busted adapter, or maybe that’s how it’s supposed to work I have no idea.

Displays full HD clearly. Bought a cheaper one first that had a flicker in full HD and returned it. This one works great!

Had issues with other adapters from other sellers and had to return them, but this one worked perfectly to allow me to hook up my CRT monitor to my modern PC! I saw many people on Reddit suggesting StarTech for this purpose and they did not let me down!

Gotta love startech for having every niche adapter you could possibly need

Amazing! I was worried this was going to add input lag or not show proper resolutions but it works flawlessly out the box. Even works with nvida control panel to adjust resolutions and framerates it handles 800x600 100hz (needed to create a custom resolution to achieve 100 in the nvida control panel) no problem and even gives you options for 60,75,85 Playing emulated games on a CRT is unmatched, I feel like a kid again! Great adapter, I wouldn’t risk cheaper ones
