Truform 20-30 mmHg Compression Stockings for Men and Women, Knee High Length, Closed Toe, White, X-Large

I've been dealing with chronic venous insufficiency for a number of years. It's progressive, though, and I'm now having to wear compression stockings daily to prevent swelling and stasis ulcers. I've been prescribed custom-made knee highs, but this brand was recommended to me by my local med supply as a good "backup" pair due to my measurements (I'm tall).I'm blown away by how comfortable these are! The quality is excellent and the fit is as close to perfect as one can get without going for custom made compression socks. I use a "sock butler" aid Mediven Big Butler, for Larger Sizes, MDV90000 to get into my non-zipper socks, and these go on very easily using it. I can usually get them on in less than 10 minutes. They stay up, don't bind at the top, and the toe area is purposely loose-fitting. As long as you get the heel in the right place, you shouldn't have any problems with tight toes.A note about fit: if you are short, be very careful, as these do run a bit long. You would probably do much better ordering the "short" length. I'm 5'8" tall, and I have to be careful getting them on not to stretch them too much going up or I'll end up with excess sock at the top, not a good thing as it then binds around my knee. I've learned, though, to put them on carefully, so I no longer have that problem.That said, these are an amazing value, easily outperforming other similar products that retail for 4 times the cost. I wash mine out by hand each night -- just swish them around in sudsy water (I use a mild soap), then a quick rinse under the faucet, and hang to dry. By morning, they're ready to wear again. I've just ordered two more pairs (another black pair, and a beige pair).Measure carefully, and order the size shown in the chart in the photo above. I really do like these, and can recommend them highly.

These tension socks will outlast any of your socks and keep your swelling in check. Made to last and made to be your only pair you'll ever buy. Great feel too.

Doesn't fit, was very tight. Difficult to get on.

They work well. But as my headline states, the 20 - 30 mmHg is pretty tight. Very hard to put on. It's okay for me but something a little less tight, like the 15 - 20 mmHg or even the 8 - 15 mmHg would probably have been easier to put on. I simply did not know how tight the 20 - 30 mmHg would be. But now that I have them, they work great. I get a hand, wrist and finger exercise just putting them on. The heel area and toe area are generous so that helps also.

my wife had been wearing compression socks for years. Always orders them through the Dr.'s office. Decided to try Amazon, and was pleasantly surprised on the quality of the product. She was very happy with the compression level and the quality of the socks.

I've been ordering this brand for at least a yr. It is the closest to Jobst brand for a really good price. But recently this brand changed the fabric they utilize for the compression. While the softer exterior is pleasant, I'm not purchasing for esthetically pleasing. I purchasing for functionality of the product. I would love to see the return of the original fabric.I just started incorporating this new fabric in my rotation and I was putting them on this morning and this is the second round of washing wearing since I purchased, and I'm noticing pilling in the fabric at the base of the ankle into the top of the foot.None of the previous sets I've purchased with the original fabric are pilling.The second photo is of the original fabric. No pilling.Also the inseam of the newer set has already begun seperating. None of my older sets are having this problem.

Socks are comfortable, of high quality and is “true to form”. For best experience , ease of putting on and protection of stockings/ socks from damage , wear Truform gloves and use a donner to put it on.

I have had trouble for 25 years with varicose veins etc, and a blood clot.These stockings have for some reason improved appearance of legs and they are no longer painful.
