Strong, solid design that moves a ton of air
This fan is great. I have it mounted in two car garage. I added a couple of 2x6's in the attic between the trusses and bought lag bolts to attach the base. As others have mentioned, some of the finish isn't perfect, but when it's on the ceiling, you can't see it. Once up, I bought a 3 foot section of ceiling fan pull and attached the included fan pull knob. The fan rotates side to side and up and down manually. I attached the included safety cable via an eye bolt and into the 2x6 in the attic. This fan is not going anywhere, even on full speed. It easily ventilates the garage on low and medium settings and cools things down quite a bit. I'm very impressed with the overall build quality and would easily buy this again or recommend it.Something to consider: the 4 lag bolts and washers weren't included, along with extra ceiling fan pull line to turn it on. In addition, if using the safety cable, buy an eye bolt. The lead is somewhere around 6 inches which was much too short for my ceiling height. Not drawbacks, just pick the stuff up at your local hardware store prior to installing.

Air King Quality and Mounting Tip
I've got 3 Air King fans working in my basement to keep the air from stagnating. Two of the fans are the ceiling mounted versions I'm reviewing here (the remaining Air King is the same size, but free standing). I run all three fans on timers (on 15 mins - off 30 mins on a 24/7 cycle). The free standing Air King has been running like new for years whereas the cheap box fans I used to run would fail in about a year... the motors would quit or short.. Here's a mounting tip. The fan that I mounted to my floor/ceiling joists transferred unwanted vibration up into my kitchen (the fan being mounted in the basement directly under the kitchen). The fix was easy, I bought and installed anti-vibration rubber isolator mounts that I found here on Amazon between the fan and the mounting board I used to fix the works to the joists. Now the fan is quiet as a mouse!

Nice Fan
I installed one in my 2 car garage and it moves the air pretty well. It's a bit loud but I was expecting that since it has a good amount of power. I'd say this is great for the garage, workshop, or gym. Definitely not for decor unless you're into that warehouse look

Great fan for the right application.
Put this in the top right corner of my garage to help with air exchange (I live in Texas). Installation was relatively straightforward except the threads on the mount were chowdery AF... Not a concern because the set screw does the job. Don't skip the braided steel safety cable... They designed the product; they know it's failure modes. This moves a lot of air and has improved livability in my garage markedly. I installed a smart outlet in the ceiling (topgreener TGWF15RM) so I can tell google to turn it off and on.

Really nice and simple to install, with one caveat
Put this on the ceiling of my garage. The garage door mechanism is attached to a stud and so I knew finding one wouldn't be too difficult. That said, it came with NO lag screws in which to do just that. I had to go to Ace Hardware after watching a youtube video just to make sure I was doing it right. I was only able to use 2 screws in the stud as the ceiling attachment has 4 holes like a clock, 12, 3, 6, and 9. I could get them in the stud at 12 and 6, but the base was too wide to get the holes at 3 and 9 in it. Luckily I used 2in 5/16 lag screws and each should easily hold well over 100lbs, and the fan is 23lbs or so. Provide the screws next time and I'll give you 5 starts. Very happy regardless. It doesn't shake and provides lots of air for my work outs.

Garage fan
Perfect solution for my older grandkids hanging out in the garage playing their video games when it's hot outside.. The construction of the fan seems of high quality and well built. They love it.

Good fan
I wanted this style so I could adjust it from left to right as well as up and down. The fan moves a lot of air, at least 15 -20 feet out. Not loud compared to my last fan.... tip... use teflon tape on the threads to help secure it on the drop down pipe. Was missing a set screw... hard to find in the hardware store.... seller worked with me to make it right.... looking to buy another

Small but Powerful
We were looking for a fan for our outside patio and this fit the bill. It is great quality, easy to install and use. It has three speeds and adjusts manually up - down and left -right. We use it on hot afternoons and evenings to provide us with a breeze, move the air around and are not disappointed.
