I seen metal plate frames that are broken off. Now before you buy this product, keep in mind it is hard plastic. May not suit all vehicles (You should know whether or not it would suit yours) as mother nature may remove the half that doesn't screw in to the vehicle.Design/Appearance/looks/etc: 8 : It does look good, I will admit. Does have the right blue. (Whovians will know)Rattles: 8 : My loud stereo bass does make it rattle quite a bit (No intentions of bragging) but other than that, its okay.Value: 8 : This takes me back to the idea that it's plastic which may not be okay for some of you. (Fine by me)My other car is not actually a Tardis: 8 : The Doctor has it.Overall: 8 : Yes, do get it.Total: 40/50Anything above a 24 is a good product. I was looking for a gift for a Dr. Who fan, and found this. Judging by the squeals of joy the recipient emitted, I'm going to go out on a limb and say it was a good choice.Several reviewers mentioned that the lower bar can partially obscure the plate's expiration sticker. In my state, at least, this isn't a problem... just position the sticker a half-inch higher; nobody minds.I'd give this a 5-star rating (it was that successful as a gift) except it's made of molded plastic. Fairly heavy-duty plastic, to be sure, but I'm not certain it will hold up as well as a metal one. (I have a metal plate-frame on a vehicle; about 25 years old and still looks new.) If this one lasts that well, I may have to revise my rating.

This license plate frame is wonderful, cute, geeky and the perfect TARDIS blue. I got this as a gift for my boyfriend when he got a new Sonata. The blues match almost perfectly [photo uploaded]. The only thing that should be changed, for me, is that it should be "My other ride is a TARDIS" not "My other car is a TARDIS," as the TARDIS, as far as I know, has never appeared as a car. I think other Whovians would also enjoy this frame. I had almost bought it from ThinkGeek, as that's where I first saw it, but I found it cheaper here. This is a durable plastic and I love the space-ish background.I have no idea why this is listed as a toy. It's not a toy. The rating system should not include "How much fun is this toy?, How would you rate this toy's educational value? or How durable is this toy?"

I bought this for my car because the front license plate frame was broken and needed to be replaced, I chose this one because it is Dr Who. It was easy to install. My only complaint is that it covers up the Minnesota registration tab stickers, but being on the front of the car I'm not too worried about it, however this is the reason I am not buying a second one for the rear license plate. If the bottom inside of the frame was the mirror image of the top inside of the frame it would probably show the registration tabs clearly and wouldn't be an issue for my state. If I could, I would give this 4 and a half stars, if not for this minor issue I would give this 5 stars.

I've had this license plate cover for a few years now. Although my car has changed, the Doctor Who cover has remained a staple in my life. No matter where I go, there always seems to be a Doctor Who Fan waiting to compliment me :-D! I've even made a few friends here in my new city because of it! While I can't guarantee the same social experience, the quality and awesomeness will keep you smiling for a while. The only con is that some state license plates can't accommodate the cover (i.e. if you have your stickers at the bottom). I've seen other's place this in the bedroom around old license plates and it looks fabulous! Regardless, you won't regret adding this to your non-Tardis vehicle or decor!

I just received my frame today and it looks amazing! It's the same color as the picture and it fits just fine. I'm in a state where we keep the decal on the bottom of license plate so it does cover up some of the decal, but it doesn't cover the entire thing. If you're really nervous about that or if you're in a state that's very strict about not covering it, then you can just drill two holes for the screws right above the ones that came with the frame and it will lower it enough to show most of the decal. I haven't been pulled over yet (hopefully I never will) about it, so I'm happy with this frame.

LOVE this plate frame. It goes along nicely with my Doctor Who-themed vanity plate.The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it covers the bottom corners of the plate. I live in Ohio, and that is typically where one puts registration stickers. Not a big deal, since the plates were new as well, so I could move the stickers, but perhaps a newer version could have a thinner bottom or tapered corners on the bottom (like the top).(of course, I could just be stupid - maybe this is a problem with ALL plate frames. I'm not sure, as I've never bought one before)

Was so excited to recieve this but disappointment took over when I realised it did not fit UK registration plates😢Had to return and cannot find any other ones online the right size

My son as well loved this item, he put it on his car as soon as I gave it to him, he was really happy that I found one that fits our cars as the only ones he was able to find were only for European cars so wouldn't fit cars here.

I got this to amuse my daughter - a Dr. Who fan. But it is fun answering the question who makes the Tardis.

I love this product! Its an interesting conversation starter at any parking lot.
