Works well but sporadically
The charger does indeed work for an iPhone 8 and fast charges an S9, but it doesn't connect very well. I think one problem is the slightly raised plus on each side of the dual charger, likely causing connectivity issues. My phones do have cases, but I had the same issue when trying without.I kind of doubt it is the only issue, since unplugging and plugging the charger back in would sometimes make the phone(s) connect and begin charging. The connection issues is not because the charger shut down for overheating as this happens whenever I would set the phone on the charger.Overall, it looks nice and does work, but not well enough to keep. I will be returning the charger.

Check carefully, it may not be charging!
The primary reason I only gave two stars is that we have two iPhones, an 8 and an 8plus. When the phones are placed on the pad far too many times the phone initially indicates it’s charging. But when I check later it has stopped. Now I need to check at least a second time a bit later to see if it’s working, a major nuisance! When it does charge it does so quickly. I like the looks of the unit and how little space it takes on the counter.

Very good but a a number of nits need nudging.
I love the speed of charging, my problem is one of placement. I have it at bedside, and a little above my head. It makes placement difficult. Looking down is easy, but it would be nice to have a texture indicator on the side so I can find the sweet spot by touch in the dark.The other small problem is that the indicator light doesn’t go out as soon as you pass said sweet spot. I now know to check 10-15 seconds after hearing the charging tone to make sure it’s charging. These are very minor complaints but I’ve been chagrined to wake up to an uncharged phone! Still, 30 minutes does give me a 50% charge!

Do not buy!!!
The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: DO NOT BUY!Wish I could return these and get my money back! You have to move the phone around for sooo long before finding the sweet-spot to charge. Then the light turns orange and shows that it is charging, then five seconds later the light blinks continuously and doesn’t charge AT ALL!!!!! Its not a unit error, as we bought two and they Albright do the same thing. Absolutely ridiculous.Original review:It’s VERY finicky to get to charge. Have to keep moving phone around until you find the sweet spot. Even then, it will begin charging and then stop! Was hoping for so much better from this product as we bought TWO.

LOVE = Charging Android AND Apple!
This is perfect for the coffee table so multiple devices can charge - and I absolutely love that it's compatible with both android and apple devices. I need to make sure it charges the airpods thought - my son was having a little trouble getting them to charge on it. Other devices - it charges pretty quick, glad I bought it!

Annoying Light
If you have this thing on a nightstand it starts blinking as it is charging. The light is not configurable and stays on the ENTIRE TIME a phone is present even if it is completely charged. Spotty case performance in terms of it being able to charge through the case. Mine charges fine with the case on and hers does not.If you are getting this for a kitchen counter - awesome. If you are getting it for a bedroom - super annoying.

The instructions that come with the charger explain nothing about the lights on it which go from none to blinking or steady. They are indecipherable.

Dysfunctional and unreliable.
I had high hopes for this charging pad. I have to say it's a 50/50 sometimes it works and others it does not. Going to sleep at night and putting your phone on the pad to charge and waking up in the morning to a drained battery is not the most pleasant experience. At times the light shows charging but it does not charge. I have tried removing the case from the phone and it did not fix the issue. I think I have a defective charging pad, I have seen other people experiencing the same. It did not work with my iPhone or AirPods.
