The product is less an intercom system and more a portable two-way radio. It transmits quite well, and is indeed portable. My chief complaint is it powers down after 90-mins. inactivity, requiring both handsets to be turned back on. So, if you don’t mind shouting upstairs on the hour and a half to turn the “intercom” back on, it will work nicely. As for me, I bought a replacement and the kids now have walkie-talkies.

Purchased this CallToU (Model W2-01BL) walkie talkie exactly one year ago to the day. I had no issues and everything was working fine until the battery on one of the hand walkie talkies failed to charge. Went to Amazon to find a replacement battery. No luck. Went to CallToU website and typed in the Model number. Search failed.Evidently, this product is no longer supported by CallToU. However, Amazon is still selling it. This speculation but I am guessing Amazon is ridding it of its remaining supply. Don't purchase.

I bought 6 of these to allow my 92 year old mother to reach me anywhere in the house or yard. It worked great at first, but a week later one went missing. I found it under her bed and it is dead and will not take a charge now. A second one she dropped on a hard floor and it quit working. I sent an email through Amazon to the seller, but have had no response. Their paperwork is so vague you cannot find a contact number. Tried looking for a number online to no avail.

Was able to place one downstairs and one upstairs. As I am a caretaker of an individual that cant not hear very well or is unsteady on her feet. This acts as a intercom so she can talk to me when I am not by her side. If she needs help with something she can ask through this instead of walking upstairs. Stairs are very hard for her. Very happy with the product.

I have a wife who is an invalid, spending her entire day in a recliner. I on the other hand am in my office/workshop at the back of the house or outside in the yard. So when my wife needed to get my attention she would try yelling but it didn't work. These solved the problem. Now when she needs me she can all me on her pager.The sound quality is good and they are easy to operate. I haven't tried to see how long they hold a charge as I keep them in the charger nearly all the time. For my application, these work great.

This is the third or fourth brand we have tried and this is a clear winner. The charge is awesome, lasting a couple of weeks, and the sound is clear and good as well. My 87 year old MIL sometimes has trouble with the buttons, and so far so good with this brand. This is our main means of communication with her in her apartment downstairs.

Works on the table with the stand, and outdoor on hikes. Intuitive to use. Crystal clear voice quality. Works from one house to another 1/4 mile away. I’m just struggling to get family to remember everything they say can be picked up via scanner, hahaha. Random scanners do not need to know when it’s potty time (eye roll)

I bought 2 sets (4 Total) to use as intercoms in my home. They work great together and very clear. No static or interruptions. I'm thinking of buying one more set for 2 more rooms in my home. Love it!!
