Product Description Foam Cushions are a necessary addition to any fully equipped studio or training facility. Each is designed to serve a variety of purposes and all aid in increasing exercise options, allowing for proper alignment and biomechanics. Designed for extra comfort and support when performing a wide variety of exercises, Foam Cushions are made of high-density, closed-cell polyethylene foam. They are available in three sizes allowing you to choose which one is right for each individual. Foam Cushion "A" is often used for head support in a supine position (lying on the back) and may help to create better alignment of the head and neck, preventing the cervical spine from overextending. Foam Cushion "B" can be used between the knees and ⁄ or ankles to help maintain activation of the hip adductors, assisting in a full-body connection and ensuring proper alignment of the legs and hips. It is also ideal for use on the Reformer to support the head in side-lying positions. Foam Cushion C is perfect for seated exercises. Individuals with tightness through the lower back, hips and knees can achieve an optimal sitting position with this foam cushion. By elevating the body, you can reduce unwanted tension and redirect the focus to the working muscles. Like a hard Yoga Block, not a "Cushion"
If you want a yoga type block, then this is for you but quite expensive as there are many yoga blocks on the market. It was not a cushion at all, but hardness needed for yoga block type poses. I needed something to cushion my knee after knee surgery when doing yoga or Pilates, I found this to be a much better solution: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003NQRQ2I/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Lightweight and just the right amount of support for a variety of yoga, Pilates movements.

I have used this at the pilates studio I go to and wanted one for my home reformer. High quality as your would expect from Stott. High price for what it is, but you pay for the name...

Good but pricey for foam!
Very nice product for proper cervical alignment during Pilates, but gave it 4 stars because the price is pretty crazy for what this is - a piece of foam with the Merrithew symbol and letter "A" on it. :/

Great for pilates and yoga
This cushion is perfect for pilates and yoga. It is firm and supportive without being too hard. It holds up under use and is much better than a regular pillow or a phone book for support during poses.

Great for rehab
I use this for rehab for my ankle (standing on it one foot at a time). I was hoping it was thicker (probably didn't read the description fully), but it still works quite well. You can feel the muscles in your ankle/up your lower leg/calf getting quite the workout

Exactly what I was looking for
I needed the foam cushion block to support my neck on the Reformer when I attend Pilates Class. It is the size, texture and quality I needed. It wipes clean without damaging the surface.

Really poor value for money
I would not recommend this product.It did not meet my expectations at all - at half the price it would still be expensive.On the positive side, the sales process and delivery service from Amazon was excellent.I will however in future do more due diligence on the products Amazon sells before purchasing them.
