I originally bought this camera after lots of research and decided, for the price, this had the best clarity and package. I used it for roughly a week and didn't notice any real issues. 9/10 times the camera would automatically start recording, however when it didn't auto start it was easy to see that it wasn't on and could be fixed with the press of a button. The camera was easy to install with the packaged sticky tab and the GPS unit worked great (even showing accurate speed). The microphone could be disabled easily and clearly captured audio when enabled. The unit came with a CPL (Circular Polarized Lens) even though I had separately bought one and it doesn't take away anything at night but greatly helps during daytime driving. The camera is really small and was not at all noticed by my family members until I pointed out to them that I had installed it. After the first week I was thoroughly impressed with the camera overall.The real complaint came when I took this on a 10 hour car trip (the reason I purchased it). After I reached my destination, I noticed that the camera 'sagged' on the lens side. It seems the heat from the sun and a summer trip has slightly melted the material and the camera no longer sits straight. I've contacted Amazon to replace the camera as I really like it, but I can't recommend this if you live in a HOT climate. The image from the camera during the day and night is great for the price, but the cheap plastic didn't hold up when I needed it the most. If the new camera holds up better to hot weather I'll update the review, otherwise STAY AWAY if you live in a HOT climate.I've attached before and after pictures to show the sag. I purchased this item in October 2015 and have used it almost daily since that time. It captures good video quality and has a small form factor making it easy to mount without obstructing your view. I have mine mounted behind the rear view mirror so it is not even noticeable while driving.Heating of the unit is a problem due to it being battery operated versus the newer capacitor equipped models that do not have an internal battery. The unit itself does not overheat but hot sunlight in your car especially when parked in the sun can cause the unit to shut down and not operate. To remedy this situation I remove the camera from the GPS windshield mount when not in the car but that can be a hassle.Overall this is a good reliable device and firmware updates are easy to download and install when they are released. I would purchase again.

Purchased this product after using a lesser item without GPS functionality and suction-cup mount.Pros: Small and uses windshield mount with reversible image, connections and controls for either left or right mounting. Can be nicely mounted without bulky mounting equipment. Works very well with lots of imaging options. Image quality is good and comes with a polarizing filter.Cons: Takes almost 10 minutes to lock into GPS satellites (mounted to windshield without any obstructions). So don't expect to begin tracking as soon as you start the car. Time setting is a nightmare! Took many attempts and experimentation to get the time and date right. Way over complex. GPS stamping within the video (speed etc) is way to small and hard to read. Included software does not always recognize the GPS files. Of 12 files captured, only 1 had related GPS information for use within the included software mapping. Very glitchy.Summary: Love the camera image quality, size and mounting options. GPS and included software is not worth the trouble or expense. You can play the videos without the included software which will include GPS stamping. For the average user who's not tracking, there are other brands and models that fit the need. The big advantage to this unit is it's size and mounting options. Two SD Card slots enables card removal without having to unmount the unit regardless of mounting orientation (a plus). Bottom line: I really like it -- it's worth the money -- but don't buy it for GPS tracking and mapping features.
