Big Fox Folder - Japanese Damascus Steel, with Leather case

Bought this knive about 6 months ago and looked at its beauty, opened and closed it a few times then put it aside. A couple of months ago I picked it up and opened it to my dismay it fell apart. No heavy usage or misuse, blade did not even cut paper. I will never buy this brand again.

Good knife. The wood is really nice and the blade has a nice pattern on it. Its does not have a 4 inch blade. Its 3 1/2 inches.Also its not that heavy. Its about has heavy as my kershaw leek 1660. The knife does come from a German compay. I dont know what thats about but it really doesnt matter. Its still great. Now for the important part. Compared to both a cheaper knife (kershaw leek) and an expensive one (protech Godfather).Sharpness 10/10Damascus blade 8.5/10 the contrast is brought out by a chemical that when oiled can smudged a little at the joint.Fit and Finish 9/10 there are minor (paper thin) gaps and small imperfectionsLocking 10/10 locks tight, no movement.total 9/10(would have given it a perfect 10 if the blade had a damascus mirrored finish like cheaper knives on ebay but this is better)

I have now purchased three knives from Ichiago. All same design, a buck classic design with high Japanese quality. My first order I used every day and it held up surprising well. I gave it to a friend and ordered two more. I will say you can't go wrong with this knife. I will say two of my knives have VG-10 steel not the 440c. I was a little surprised to see 440 and can't say much about it's durability. Get a VG-10 if you can, still knowing these knives quality 440 is still a good knife. Daniel Stephenson

A very well made knife..holds an edge well and cuts like no other.I use it everyday at work,and have no issues.

Despite the product description, the blade was stamped vg10. The blade was pretty dull when it arrived but with a little sharpening I was able to hone it razor sharp. It also seems to be built really well. Overall, I'm really happy with it.
