Cotton for denim
The variety of colours is perfect. I am making some dungarees, I've used the navy blue to sew them together and the antique gold for topstitching. The price was good and the quality of cotton is great.

More economical to buy a set
Most jeans/cargos use a thicker cotton thread for hemming and overstitch. This is a good set of colours and much cheaper to buy as a set than individually.

It's a very high-quality product. Because it's hard to break, the stitches are very strong. I don't have any problems with other brands of thread breaking easily on my sewing machine. I really like this one because it doesn't break or clump in the machine. It also made sewing by hand much easier because when I threaded a long thread through the needle, it didn't tangle or knot, making it easier to sew. Thank you Gutermann.

The Gutermann Denim Thread set is a very useful selection of six colours that match almost any denim jean threads you may have. Gutermann does sell a set of 12 with expanded colours, but these six are the most useful. The entire Gutermann Denim thread line comes in 35 colours. The Gutermann Denim thread is a Tex 60 weight thread, with 600/2 construction (two ply, dtex 600). It is similar to the industrial-sector Gutermann Mara 50, which is also a Tex 60 thread but that is 600/3 with a tighter twist. Gutermann Denim lies in between the common Gutermann Sew-All (Tex 30 weight, aka Gutermann Mara 100, 300/2 construction) but not quite as heavy as the Gutermann M782 Extra Strong, which is Tex 70. Gutermann Denim is also slightly thicker than Gutermann Jeans (Tex 40, 430/2). I find Guterman Denim works well with a 100/16 denim needle.
