Indy True Wireless In-Ear Earbuds - Mint

Received today, earbuds would not sync. Called skullcandy customer service to troubleshoot. After a minute of press 1 for blah blah, phone was immediately (no elevaror music at all) answered by an American who quickly determined (without a lengthy and tedious process) that they had a defect. Offered to replace via skullcandy or Amazon. Although I am disappointed that I have to wait a few more days to enjoy the earbuds I was SO IMPRESSED with their customer service I felt compelled to write a review immediately. Will update when I receive my replacement earbuds about the earbuds themselves. Update. Got my replacement pair in 2 days. Daughter says they are "awesome" she loves them and has no complaints.

I have always been a huge fan of Skullcandy as a brand, and this product is no exception. Sound quality is really good. It is a little bass heavy but if you play with your EQ settings, this can be managed to be pretty okay. They are great for casual listening. Compared to air pods, the case and ear pieces are a little larger. It is still easier to find a good fit with these than with air pods though as you can change the ear tips to fit your ears. I really can't recomend them enough, especially for the price. Despite how amazing they are, they still have a few flaws. The biggest one, is that if you want to listen to just one it has to be the right ear as this is the master earbud. My remedy to this is to just take both buds out of the case and put one off to the side and it works fine. The next is that the rubber piece that sits around the body of the bud is not totally secure. It often comes loose when I take the buds in and out of my ears, and they can sometimes make it difficult for the lid of the case to close all the way. The final problem is that sometimes there is a slight delay between the ear buds, giving it an echo. I usually just put them in the case and take them out again to reset them and it works just fine. Honestly though, for the price, I am more than willing to put up with the minor problems. Especially because they are sweat and dust resistant. The basic airpods aren't even dust and sweat resistant and they are over triple the price. The battery is phenomenal. As long as you don't spend more than four hours at a time listening then you shouldn't have a problem either. I use them on and off all day and I really only charge them once a week if that. Oh another amazing thing. Skullcandys warranty is second to none. I own another set of skullcandy headphones that broke. All I had to do was send them my old pair and I got a brand new set in the mail a week later. They didn't ask any questions or try to get out of their warranty. Honestly, I can't think of anyone who offers a better stock warranty package. I would highly recommend these.

Im happy i bought these on sale. Id be fuming at full price. They sound fine, noise cancel alright and fit comfy. Although the lil ear covers fell off and got lost immediately. It is SOOO hard getting the ear pieces out of the case wo those on (and i have small, strong and dextrous hands.) The case is very nice and sturdy and holds a charge forever which is great. As others stated there are connectivity issues. Theyre not a total deal-breaker, but i spend a stupid amount of time dealing w the ear pieces staying on/connected and i only use them with one device. The touch functions just do not work on mine, almost not at all. If the right piece is taken out of my ear it turns off immediately. The left one stays connected but it takes a stupid amount of time to turn the right one back on then they both connect separately and i have to manually connect from my device. Unless i dont want them connected then they wont stop auto turning on bluetooth and connecting. Its infuriating to take a call on my phone if theyre on anywhere in the vicinity. The sound and feel are ok, but bc of the terrible connectivity i will not ever purchase these again. EDIT: these are complete garbage. Nonstop connectivity problems and now the left one wont connect w anything so theyre broken. Do not waste your money. Im very disappointed bc i have a very long bus commute and absolutely no money for more ear buds.

I got the mint to match my green iPhone 12 and it matches perfectly. I can walk around my whole office and leave my phone on my desk and I can still listen to my podcast or take calls. I also have small ears and these are so comfortable I love them. Battery life has lasted me all the way to the lunch hour. Totally worth the money!! Update 06.16.21: My left ear bud went out randomly and just stopped working I leave these on my office desk I never take them anywhere I only use them for work so I don't know why it stopped working. I will say I am really sad about this I really liked these I was hoping that they would last me at least 2 years.

So for the money ($23) these aren't bad. I actually returned the first set I bought because I thought they were bad. Nowhere in Skullcandy's instructions did it say that you can expect to have to charge these things for 12 hours or more before first use. In fact the only thing I read about charging stated that they'd attain ~70% charge after 10 minutes in the case. Which seems plausible ONCE you get them initially charged. Both sets that I tried were stone dead out of the box. The charger cases showed 2 LEDs lit. The earbuds wouldn't show anything even after 3-4 hours. Once charged overnight and most of the next morning they could be paired. I tried using the Skullcandy app to confirm % of charge but the plain Indys don't work with their own app! Once paired the controls function just like the instruction sheet shows. Mine are a little painful to wear for more than 3 hours. Battery life seems to be about 4-1/2 hrs. My biggest complaint is that NOTHING, not written instructions nor videos tells you to charge for 12+hours to get them to work.

Really like the design and the handy little case. These are my first pair of bud-like headphones and it’s still taking some getting used to. The box is simple and cool with minimal extra bits. Instructions are printed on the box but I’m still unclear on how to use the touch function after 2 days. In order to get the full use of noise cancelling, One needs to have a perfect fitting rubber, I found that if I’m walking I will constantly be adjusting the buds to fit. I could change things there’d be better instructions, come fully charged, more size options on rubber ends or more volume.
