Junior: Writing Your Way Ahead In Advertising Review: Highly recommended, for any profession. - I'm a commercial photographer, in the earlier stage of his career, and this book hit home for me. It's basically the book I would write for wanna-be photographers. I constantly found myself saying "yes! exactly! thank you!" out loud to myself while reading it. That and "oh man, smart!" It makes you think about coming at problems from angles you don't immediately consider - it inspires you to get creative. I think it's so valuable to hear from someone who is current in the industry, someone who is still trying to REALLY make it, work his way up. The advice from someone who was in your position just a couple years ago is going to be much more relevant than the advice from someone who hasn't been at your level in decades. I feel the ideas in this book extend way passed copywriters. Like I said, I'm a photographer, so still in the advertising world. But, really - this book could be for anyone who wants to stand out and succeed in any industry. It's smart, well-written, and funny. Even the design / layout is awesome. Review: Fun, quick, and actionable book - This is one of the best marketing books I've read in forever, because the author loosens up from the stuffy, over-professional books you're used to reading. While I'm not a copywriter, I do write a lot for work - emails, training presentations, etc. and I've taken real actionable steps to improve based on what I read here. Great read.

Talk about a great read
I wasn't planning on keeping this book as it was a quick recommendation, but as I started reading; I was hooked. Completely drawn in taking notes and reading it all in one sitting. If you want a book that talks to you like an old friend or mentor giving you the advice you need; start with this book!

Great Book.
Excellent read for anyone considering the advertising industry. The first half is relatively specific to copywriting while the second half is more general and touches on the agency world, clients, production, new business pitches and general advice. A quick and easy read with lots of valuable information, clearly based on experience. Highly recommended.

Quick Read
It's a really fun read. I love the style, and it's super easy to consume. You sort of learn that this person is just extremely talented and creative. I'm not sure you can teach that, but there's definitely an approach he tries to present that gives food for thought.

One of the best I’ve read.
I’ve head it for two days and I’m almost through. Junior gives some great advice not only for writing but for dealing with ad agency life in general. This will be one I go back to over and over again for nuggets of wisdom.

Just ok
Not bad. Not great. Just ok. Do I feel like I wasted my time reading this? No. Did I learn a lot? No. It did inspire me to write my own book though. So, there you go.

This book teaches you how to write a book like this.
Howard Gossage, move over and make room. Luke Sullivan, you have some company. There is a new muse in town, and he has made me a forever fan. Thank you, Thomas Kemeny. JUNIOR is the book that every creative in advertising should be reading, regardless of their craft. JUNIOR injects passion and craft in all the right places while reminding us why we love what we do. The ad industry will be forever viable if we think like Kemeny. Buy the book. Read it quick, and then keep it nearby for those moments when you start believing there are no more opportunities to do great work. – Bart Cleveland, Founder, Job Propulsion Lab

This is by far the most interesting, but fun read I've had in the copywriting space. Most old 'legendary' copybooks have a lot of things you can learn from them. But they're not as relatable, as 'Junior'. I feel like this is a book that will become legendary in the future, and right now, it's an amazing copybook relatable to copywriters of the technological era. BONUS: THE BEST COVER (seriously)
