Less barfing and no more clogged anal glands
I have two neutered male cats who were on Rx cat food that my vet recommended. One of my cats kept vomiting a lot. It got so bad I had to bring him in to see the vet. The vet said that I needed to give him a quarter tablet of antacid every day because he had a very acidic stomach. Really? Why does my kitty have an acid stomach? Is he worrying a lot? My cat leads a cushy life and wasn't eating spicy foods. It didn't make sense he would need a daily antacid.I also had to bring him into the vet to have his anal glands drained (which I never had to do with any of my cats). It cost me $25 dollars every time I had to have that done. I ain't got time for that. Between having to pill my cat every day and dealing with his nasty stinky butt, I decided to Google and find out if there was another way.I discovered that the reason some cats vomit a lot is because they are allergic to the grains/corn in cat food (corn and gluten meal were the primary and secondary ingredients in my Rx cat food). I also discovered that the reason cats have plugged anal glands is because their stools are too soft. Cat food that is high in grain/corn, etc can make it hard for them to naturally express their anal glands when they poop because it makes their stools soft. For a firmer stools, cats need a food where meat/protein is the first/primary ingredient. That being said, I realized I needed to find a cat food that had meat protein as its main ingredient and was wheat & corn free. I saw lots of positive reviews for the Wellness brand so I tried it. So far I have been very pleased. Since starting my kitties on this food, I have not had to give my sensitive kitty any more antacids. Nor have I needed to take him in to get his anal glands drained. In addition, both cats love it and I have noticed that their coats are softer and shinier. They also seem to be shedding less which is a very welcome bonus.

This cat food has been discontinued by the manufacturer...
I'm not positive if this food is what made my cat so very ill, but there's a strong possibility that's what happened. I have been feeding Mimsy this brand and formula of dry food since I first brought her home nine years ago and she liked to eat it and she stayed healthy so I found no reason to switch. Then several months ago the big online pet food retailer where I usually bought the big 12-pound bag was out of stock for a long time, and so I found the same product here on Amazon and ordered it. I am not exactly certain of when I transitioned from the last of the older bag to the new bag I bought here, but I think it was around that time, maybe a month ago, that I noticed she started drinking a LOT of water and urinating a lot. I kept on eye on this, and then I noticed about two weeks ago that she was eating less and losing interest in her treats and wet food as well as the dry food. She was due for an annual exam in one month so I made the appointment, but when it got to the stage where she was hardly eating at all and visibly losing weight (still drinking tons of water), I brought her in early, a week ago. Tests were done, blood analysis and abdominal ultrasound scan, and I feared kidney disease or something worse. Test results revealed nothing terribly unusual or alarming. So I considered the possible causes, and after reading another review here where the buyer complained of the same thing (cat stopped eating and starting drinking tons of water), I became suspicious. I checked the expiration date on my bag that Amazon delivered and it still had nine months till the sell by date. Not knowing what, I took this food out of her diet completely about five days ago. She is gradually returning to normal now, drinking the usual amount of water and gradually recovering her appetite. So I think it was SOMETHING (unknown) about this batch of cat food that led to my cat's loss of appetite and failing health. I have switched to a different dry food and am hoping for a complete recovery.Meanwhile, I contacted the other online merchant where I used to buy this food (you know the one) and was told that Wellness brand has discontinued making this line of dry food. I called Wellness company Wellpet and they confirmed this. So even though Amazon is listing this as available (shipping in one to three months), I would advise anyone on not ordering it here because if there is any out there on the market still, it is going to be older stock and it is doubtful it will be available anywhere much longer.I have switched to another Wellness dry formula. I still think they are a good company with quality products. Hopefully the new senior dry grain-free formula will agree with Mimsy and help to restore and maintain her good health.

I have tried far too many different brands of cat food over the years in search of that perfect blend of affordability and quality. I don't know if I would go so far as to say that it's the most affordable brand but darn if it's not the highest quality food I've given my cats, to date. One of my cats has an extraordinarily sensitive stomach and that has been a major challenge on her as well as all of the carpet in the house. I have tried multiple brands the claim to assistant digestive and gastrointestinal issues but much to my surprise wellness complete health cat food has really come out as the clear winner.Ever since switching to this brand of cat food my cat has not only cut back drastically on the frequency of vomiting but also has been much more active and playful. On top of all that her coat has never been so soft and shiny! With so many different brands of cat food, it can be hard to pick one brand to be loyal to. I’ve certainly dealt with that. Thankfully, wellness has managed to put those days in the past for my family. So happy that I took the plunge and invested in this expensive bag of salmon cat food. And I know my cats are thankful too!

... since I adopted them (I have 4) & they love it and are super healthy
I have been feeding my cats this food (along with the Wellness Turkey & Salmon canned food) exclusively since I adopted them (I have 4) & they love it and are super healthy. I love the clean ingredients and lack of cheap fillers. I would not feed them anything else!
