Good product

Brought specifically for my PlayStation 3 after selling my wireless controllers to get a wired one.

The controller works well and extremely good value for the money

Positives: It works (in a limited fashion) It has the PS3 button symbols printed on the buttons. Can be used with a PC and works with emulators. Negatives My PS3 crashes and re-boots when one of these is plugged in during a game. There is no "six axis" motion sensors. Unsuitable for any game that needs controller positioning. Tested on a PC and the XY axis give full deflection at about 25% of movement. Within this there is only 3 positions rather than a gradual increase. This means the positioning sensitivity is extreme. This makes many games much harder because slow movement cannot be achieved (Skylanders, Little Big Planet and most FPS games). The controller does not have low level USB functionality, i.e. it cannot be used to initiate a firmware upgrade.

Decent for the price. The joystick has a bit of a dead zone but it's fine for most emulations.

Works well with my macbook 2023 M2 chip. I can play games with this controller. Played some old games and mapping the buttons work too. I thought it had not worked until I Pressed the centre button (PS3) between the analogs to create the initial connection.

Son tested it for the PS3 Slim console and works fine. This controller was to replace an offical PS4 controller that had a dead battery and only works wired now. So we have two working wired controllers now for local co-op. So no worries about dead batteries anymore. The length of the wire is a little longer than a regular PS4 controller charge cable, but I still used a usb extention cable to give it more length and works fine.
