Angel Dear - Blue Elephant, Blankie

UPDATE 2/2015 We have had the elephant lovies for 6 years now and they are still in perfect condition. Seams are all still in tact, nothing has ripped or torn or fallen apart. There are NO STAINS! They have been thrown up on, food has been dropped/smeared on them, dragged through the mud, you name it. And I know it's not because I have an amazing laundry routine - I have plenty of my children's clothes that are permanently stained (ugh!). These guys have been abused. Even the snout is still holding its shape perfectly. The only way you can really tell the lovey is old is because the color is a bit faded from being washed a gazillion times and the fabric is not quite as "fuzzy" as before, but given the age and the wear that these lovies have been through, the condition of the fabric is amazing. These guys have been washed at least twice a week for the last 6 years and are still going strong! Excellent product. ------------------------------------------------- Wonderful lovey. Soft and perfect for snuggling. My son loves to suck on the trunk. As soon as we give him Lovey, he gets into "bedtime" mode and calms down and starts snuggling. I bought 3 to rotate after every 2-3 days (it gets grimey after a couple days of "loving") and it's the perfect amount for 2 in the wash and 1 in use. They still look new after over a year. Highly recommend.

I like that this blankie is fabulously soft - even after washing numerous times. Speaking of washing, I just throw this in with my baby's regular clothes and don't have to do a 'special' wash cycle just to wash this. I like that this is small. Hearing about SIDS all the time, I don't feel nervous allowing my baby to have this during nap times and bedtime. I like that this item has been selling for at least the last 7-8 years. I first became aware of this product years ago when acting as a nanny. I like that this product is still available - and comes in various animals (can change animal/color for subsequent children). PROS: - Soft - Small - Easy to clean (regular cycle) - Relatively inexpensive - Availability (time-wise) CONS: - I bought two of these to have a spare for washing, I am disappointed that I can actually tell a difference between the two. One seems longer and thinner. This may just be a random incident - and isn't too big of a deal because I plan on letting child know of "spare" "Friend."

My cousin bought us two of these and said her little one loved hers from 6 mos. on. I gave this to my little guy when he turned 6 months, and he just loves them. I lost one, so bought a replacement, and it really is handy to have two. He likes to sleep with it, so it's nice to have one stashed in his room when we can't find the other one. Also, having two makes it easier to rotate out for laundering. Recommend for your own child or as a gift. *Update: I just bought the Giraffe one for my second child. It is SOOOO cute! The picture doesn't do it justice.

It's a great supplement for the woobie my son loves that is no longer made incase something happens to that one. It is also blue with an elephant head. I wish it was a bit thicker though. Would have made it feel less cheap and feel a bit more durable

Our twin's favorite "loveys." These are by far one of the best purchases for our boys. They sleep with these little guys and snuggle them as soon as they get in their crib. They also like to suck and teethe on the trunk. We were happy to see the fabric is breathable (and soft) as our little guys like to put them over their face. Another perk is that they are washable and come out even softer than they were. The perfect first little companion for any baby! We've since given these as baby gifts and will continue to do so.

I got this as a baby gift and honestly thought it was a little strange. But now I know it was the best baby gift ever! My son has loved this elephant since he could grab and snuggle it. We have gone through three of these Angle Dear Blue Elephant Blankies with my son who is 2.5 (they are wearing fine, but we loose them often). Super soft and a great cuddle friend. It is easily my son's favorite plush friend.

Both of my boys (4 and 2) use these as their “blankies” and they love them. I love them because they’re easy to carry around and take places with us. I also like that they’re easily replaceable if one gets lost (which has happened). I recommend buying 2-3 and start rotating them with your child before one actually gets lost. That way there won’t be any issues switching to a “new” one.

Between my two kids, my family has owned dozens of Angel Dears over the years and we *love* them. But something was up with this one! The head seemed stiff and the stitching started pulling after one wash.. either it’s defective of a fake.

My son initially got this as a present from a friend in the USA - he loves it that much we had to order this one as a back up! In cot with him every single night time & nap. Beautiful item, extremely soft & washes great....even withstands plenty of chewing!!
