Yes this is an oil filter.What do you want Amazon? You want me to conjure a bunch of made up jargon? LIke 'This filter was very well packaged and as I opened the box I realized the quality that Mazda engineers put into such a fine product'. It was so immaculate that I had second thoughts about actually installing it. I wanted to put it on my living room mantel and just look at it for a while. In fact I almost wanted to eat it but I couldn't so I just gave it a couple of licks with my tongue. And wow the taste was just.. .. ok you get the idea.Its an oil filter. It filters oil.

For when you need a new oil filter, Amazon is there. Easier than heading to the dealership, and a genuine Mazda part. Fit my NA Miata like it was made for it. Probably because it was.Easy install, but I'd wager that's the case for most oil filters. However, this one says Mazda on it, which brings a certain sense of satisfaction when you look at it. Except after you install it, you can't, so get a good look before you install it. Breathe it in. Sigh deeply. Vroom vroom.
