I’ve been using K&N air filters in my cars for over 30 years. They always perform great and they always last. The only catch comes when it’s time to clean and re-oil the filter. It is a 24 hour process. I always use K&N filter cleaner and always use K&N oil. Most of the time is waiting, and unless you have kept the original standard filter, you won’t be able to use the car for a day. If you plan ahead and wash the filter when you won’t need to use the car, then it can be a nuisance. The good thing is that you don’t have to clean and oil the filter very often. For most drivers, this will be a once every 4-5 year process. The key is to wait until the filter is absolutely dry. Do not use compressed air or shake it hard. Just let it drain and let it dry COMPLETELY. The follow the oiling instructions, using only enough to wet the fibers of the filter, then let it absorb. I always use the liquid oil, but a spray is available and is probably easier to use. You’ll notice that there is an increase in intake sound when using a K&N filter. For some that might be objectionable, but I like it. I mention it just so you’ll be aware of the change. For experienced users, you’ll know this already.

Our 2014 Mercedes E350 Luxury Model has only one filter along the passenger side of the engine. There were four T25 torks screws that needed to be removed to open the covering to replace the filter. No other items had to be removed but the back two screws had very little clearance and so I used a torks bit and small vice grip pliers clamped on the side. With the screw backed out, there is only about 1" of clearance on the back screw. While this is tedious it is only two screws. Be careful not to drop the bit it will likely not make it to the ground as the bottom is shielded quite a bit. Easy swap out and perfect fit. The performance difference was noticeable and while I don't track mileage gains, I very happy with K&N.

I Absolutely Love and swear by K&N Filters for cars and motorsports ive been using been using them for over 30 yrs and always seen gains in power, throttle response especially and a bit better gas mileage that come with the logic and coming sense that your car is literally breathing better and the fact that you have to buy an air filter only once is awesome. This filter fits exactly on my 2013 Mercedes Benz E350. It takes estimate time 15 minutes to installed. I am happy using K&N air filter for my cars. I used K&N cleaning kit that recommended one a year on my other, 2009 Mercedes Benz E550. Good product. Love it.

Had a lot of second thoughts on getting this filter but after reading other reviews it convinced me. Put it on took less then 10 minutes definitely has a lot better throttle response

Made a couple previous attempts with paper filters that didn't work for me in my 2012 ML350 because it apparently was built during a model transition. I have been a K&N believer since my racing days and lately in Jeep off-road adventures. These filters really work as advertised and you can hear the air flow as your engine breathes freely. Love it.

Wie in jedem meiner Autos kommt auch in meinen E350 W212 mit 306PS der KN Luftfilter rein, der Einbau erfolgte Fahrzeugbedingt etwas schwerer, aber das hat ja nichts mit dem Produkt zutun. Einen Leistungszuwachs habe ich nicht erzielen wollen, also wenn ihr eine Änderung stattfand ist die kaum bemerkbar. Gekauft mit der Absciht des minimal lauteren Motorsound's, hat dieses Produkt meine Erwartungen erfüllt. Der V6 wurde gerade im oberen Drehzahlbereich bei 5500-6500 Umdrehungen lauter und bekam ein dezentes lauteres Ansauggeräusch hinzu. Probleme hatte ich keine.
