I truly like this bag
I truly like this bag. I had to remove(and save) some sand from the ears to accommodate my '67 Anschutz' bench stock. That took about five minutes, and it was well worth the minimal effort. This is a quality bag in every respect. The leather is top drawer, and the stitching is perfect. My great grandkids will be able to enjoy it! It is an extremely stable platform. If you need a competition quality bag to use with a mechanical rest, this one very might well be your huckleberry. I shoot competition, and I have always used Protektor front bags, on and off of a Caldwell competition rest. One of the competitions in which I shoot doesn't allow mechanical rests because of my success with the Caldwell rest, so I beat them with just the Protector bags. You really don't get much better than Protector bags, at least I haven't found any.

Great Rear Bag!
Very solid rear bag. High quality, durable leather and stitching. I recommend using a baseball glove conditioner (Wilson's Pro Stock Glove Conditioner worked well for me) to soften the leather. That will allow even more precise elevation control by squeezing the bag or ears. It is a bit heavy. Mine weighs in at 6 lbs 10.5 oz. Expect that extra weight when you pack for your next range trip. Consider the height of your front rest when buying this or other Protektor rear bags. I found this worked will with a bipod out front, but it was too high when using the Caldwell Tack Driver front bag.

Great quality!
I'm very impressed by the quality of this product. OK, it's twice the price compared to a fabric rest made in china. But well worth it if you ask me. The leather is thick and the rest is well constructed. The ergonomics is excellent. The rabbit ears provide a very stable support for any rifle stock. I think it's filled with the perfect amount of sand. Not too hard. Not too soft. I like this product a lot and I highly recommend it.

A great sand bag
I like the higher profile on this model, and the base doesn't slide. You may want to empty a little sand to make it squeeze easier for elevation adjustments. Very high quality leather. I love it. I highly recommend it

Too Tall
The quality seems good, but the bag is so tall that it doesn't work well with either my bipod or my front rest.

Great rear rest.
Very good rear support bag to work with larger front mechanical rests. Most smaller rear bags have clearance problems on the bench top with big rifles that have 10+ round box magazines but this one will handle all but the largest rifles. I have a 1" thick piece of solid surface material (countertop scrap) that put under this if I need a little more. Much more durable than basic Caldwell bags which split apart in short order when used with large bolt actions and only a little more expensive. Well worth the few additional dollars. You can break in the ears to fit your rifle stock a little faster if you use some Melotonian shoe stretch spray on the ears before the first several range uses.
