newer design, works as well as the old.packaging could be clearer about how to replace the old filter [pull up and out, do not twist], but that's not the seller's fault.

THESE ARE A LIFESAVER
Where I live, the water is horrible. Worst I have ever tasted. The officials say it is fine but I noticed they don't drink it. Well because so much water is consumed in my home I have spring water delivered PLUS I have two Brita water pitchers going at the same time. I won't even let my animals drink the water from the tap. These took a little longer to come in but they were not delayed for a long time. It could be my imagination because Amazon has spoiled me by getting all my packages to my home at the blink of an eye or a snap of the fingers.

These replacement filters work very well and its a relief not to have the smell of chloride when I'm drinking water.
