Gruber's Complete SAT Guide 2014 Paperback – June 4, 2013

I grabbed this guide because I heard it was pretty strong on the math section-a section I lack in a lot. I spent the entire summer with this book by side, and wow what a difference it made. The math refresher section was nice and concise, and the diagnostic tests pinpointed your weaknesses with startling accuracy. This is not to say that the other sections are weak- although if I had to pick it'd be the writing section. The reading section has a good vocabulary list and a root/suffix section which is vital in doing the vocabulary section of the test. If you are between the 2015 edition and this one they seem virtually the same from what I've seen so save yourself the money and pick up this one.

We have not fully used this book yet. I used it as home school curriculum addition. I used it to teach my 8th grader vocabulary and grammar. From what we used so far, I'd give it 5 stars. It is very large and overwhelming. The 4 stars is because it would be very hard to pin point the important things to cover in preparation for the SAT with this much information to sort through.

I am very satisfied with "Gruber's Complete SAT Guide 2014!" I used Gruber's materials over 30 years ago myself when preparing for the MCAT. I like Gruber's analysis of how to study for the SAT, not just memorize. A comprehensive set of tools are in one volume.My son is able to get a read on his strengths and weaknesses by taking the tests. We both like the explanations for the math questions. The format of this guide is extremely user friendly.

Bought for my Son. This may become outdated, as I am hearing that SAT questions will be changing to "common core" type of questions, but I don't yet know how soon this will be implemented.

Since I actually bought this book for my son to use in order for him to get into Jr. College I really can't really comment on it other than the fact that he did look through the book and possibly did some reading in it.

This is a helpful book but please keep in mind that every edition of this book contains some, if not all, of the same practice tests.

This book is REALLY thick...I'm trying to prepare for the SAT, my dad bought several books, two of them are about 2-3 inches thick. He said if I complete all of them I should be fine:) Very easy format for learning, not to compact, all the things it says on the cover.

Had all the inforamtion that I was looking for my daughter - I recommend this book for the SAT preparation.

It is old edition, not useful for new pattern.
