Happy with the quality and design of this soap dispenser
For 10 years I had had another brand's sink soap dispenser- (2 of them) and I thought it was just me... the soap would come out in little spurts and the little nozzle did not extend quite far enough. Finally it broke (probably from having to hit it so many times to get the soap out) that I decided to research to find another brand. Credit a lot of the reviews on Amazon, I settled for the Kohler K-1893 and am very happy I did. It feels like solid metal, the nozzle reaches out further AND the soap comes out in just the right amount- not too much and not too little- One pump is all you need to get enough soap.

Don't Pump Tap Water
I bought two of these several years ago to use them with Bronner's Castile liquid soap. I learned that diluting the soap with tap water results in a cloudy mixture that damages the barrel in this pump. The original pumps got stickier and stickier, and replacing the o-ring didn't restore their smooth pump action. Using distilled water to dilute the Castile soap instead of tap water keeps the resulting mixture clear, and several months later, the new pump is still going strong. These pumps match the vibrant stainless finish on the Kohler faucets that I bought and installed in our kitchen with the first pumps. They look great, and now they work great!

Nice Stainless Steel finish
It goes nicely with the other stainless steel fixtures. The soap reservoir is large but it still fit without a problem. I see what other folks have mentioned about the bottle (specifically the threads on the bottle neck) not inspiring confidence. So far the bottle has held in place without a problem. But if the threads lose their grip, it's going to creat a heck of a mess. I'm thinking of keeping an open ice bucket directly under the bottle just in case it fails. The dispenser arm sticks out an adequate distance and it shoots soap out at about a 45 degree angle towards the sink. I haven't noticed that this pump requires any pre-pumps before soap is dispensed.

It installs super easy, it is literally the easiest thing I ...
Very expensive but necessary if you have an extra hole after installing a new faucet. It holds a ton of soap, literally I poured almost two whole bottles of J.R Watkins hand soap (the bigger dispenser) and I only had a little soap in the little dispenser. It installs super easy, it is literally the easiest thing I have ever installed. I put a little plumber's putty underneath it to give it extra holding power.

Great quality soap dispenser
I got this soap dispenser to go with the Kohler Parq faucet and sprayer. I was happy to see when it arrived that it was a nice match and also easy to install from underneath. I have been using it for about a month and have been very happy with it. It gives a good amount of soap in each pump and is very easy to refill. I am very happy with this purchase!

Heavy duty
I was tired of buying cheap plastic dispensers every few months. This should last much longer being solid brass and replacement pump cartridges only cost 5 bucks for this. Has significant weight and heft to it. Installation took less han 5 minutes. Very happy with it so far.

Easy-to-Fill Soap Dispenser
I bought two of these for our new sink, one for liquid soap and one for hand lotion. However, I soon realized we don't need an extra dispenser for lotion. It is very easy to fill, and I recommend Ivory Liquid. I just wish it had come in the chrome finish instead of the satin look to match the rest of the kitchen fixtures.

Pump can be a little finicky, but overall good dispenser
Quality dispenser. Did have to replace the pump assembly (super inexpensive replacement part), but I think it's cuz I used a concentrated dish soap - too thick, and the pump seized up. Use regular soap and you should be fine. New pump assembly installed and works like a charm - smooth as butter, and perfect amount of soap dispensed every time. Looks real nice too. Oh, and so easy to fill! Though, don't overfill or you'll have bubbles in your sink for hours. Just stop short of full, it's not worth the risk of the headache :)
