Better fit than the couplers from the local big box stores
These are the perfect fit for standard 3" copper drain to a 3" PVC pipe. The comparable ones at the big box store that say they are for copper to PVC but did not choke down enough to seal well and had leaks.

perfect fitment!
Just what I needed and a perfect fit. My house was built in the 60s and I needed to connect an old 3" copper DWV pipe to new pipe I am installing, your standard 3" ABS. This coupler is very high quality and joined the two pipes together flawlessly.

Exactly what you need for legacy copper DWV pipes
This is the perfect thing to adapt between your legacy copper DWV pipes to modern PVC or ABS pipes. No idea why the hardware stores don't carry these locally. What the local stores have is not designed to do what this can do -- properly handle the difference between the O.D. of the different types of pipes.

Transition coupling - my use : 3” Copper x 3” DWV
This transition coupling was exactly what I needed for my drain situation. Local big box stores didn’t have the appropriate transition for the materials. This was a genuine Fernco transitioning coupling. Worked the first time, with no leaks

Old school copper to abs in my crawl space. Worked perfect. Feels very well made and secure. The coupling hugs the copper side and the larger ABS side very tightly.
