I was so happy taking this out of the package. The sequins are the small size and it just shimmers beautifully. The waist is elastic so that it can give a little either way, but perfect for my granddaughter's 24" waist. She is short and so we always expect to hem anything for her, but you would not have to if you want the skirt/tail portion to pounce and push up from the floor. It would get dirty, touching the floor or sidewalk. But the costume can accommodate a number of heights for the size small. The tail portion has a soft, fluid lining fabric with a netting fabric over it. I have made and purchased many costumes. This is a great value for the quality.

The quality of the skirt is beautiful, but it does run small and it affords zero stretch. I ordered a medium. The zipper at the waist met but the butt area did not. I didn’t have enough time to order a new one. A large would have worked better for me and then I could have pinched the waist. Either way I was worried I would have torn the skirt if I decided to sit, because that is how tight the skirt was. For reference I am 5’1 tall, 33” waist and 44” butt.

So I listened to the reviews - this thing runs extremely small. For reference I’m typically a size 2 or 4 max, and I bought the large. I had room at my waist but it’s very tight in the hips. If you’re curvy or wear any type of non children’s size - order wayyyy up.The bottom is see through tool so if you use this for parties like I do, the kids can see your feet, prepare accordingly.It’s itchy around the waist band so if you’re wearing it for a long time, you may be uncomfortable.The sequins fall off really easily so just be mindful, it was enough that the kids at the party were collecting the trail of them falling off every time I moved.All that said, this was a rush order because my other tail wouldn’t work for this event and the kids loved it and for the price it’s decent quality!

I got a large. I normally wear a medium in pants or bottoms but I sized up because of what others have said. I wore this to a costume contest and I could barely walk down the steps and get in my car since it was so tight around my thighs! I thought it was gonna rip honestly but it didn't, it held up so that was a plus. Other than that, there is some stretch/ give in the waistline. But they should have made the part around the tail with elasticity. Overall though, I love it and got so many compliments! 🥰 I guess I make a great Ariel 🧜‍♀️

It’s a little tight in the bum, but other than that a really great costume peice!

I have hips for days, and I ordered 2 just to be safe. The quality of the zipper is poor and didn’t work on the first one. I got my 2nd one and when I put it on for halloween, the zipper completely busted. I didn’t have time to order another due to travel plans. Had to use safety pins to keep it on. I didn’t have time for a backup costume. The material is flipped over the inside and leaves your waist scratchy. Not so hard to walk in but challenging because of the seam line that runs in your legs while walking, which could have been better if it was elastic. Aside from the zipper not working on both and the discomfort, it looks super cool.

This skirt is beautiful. True to fit. If you have fuller hips or butt go up a size. Otherwise this was a great purchase.
