Huge Improvement
I had several of the earlier Meilan mini gps units and they were OK, but they often had trouble picking up the gps signal, the battery charge was risible, lasting only about two hours, and there was no data support. This new Oval is, by comparison, amazing, and at $40 it’s the same price that the mini used to be. It picks up the gps signal instantly, even inside the house, and the battery charge is awesome. I’ve got at least ten hours on this charge and it’s still showing at above 60%. Best of all, the Oval comes with an incredible app that records all the data on your trips, including a map of the route that also provides a video that can be replayed. Here’s a tip. Don’t try to use the app while you’re on the ride. Keep the app off, then open it after the ride and it will upload the data so you can view the route. I’m interested to see how many of these it will allow you to store without some kind of a recurring fee. For the price, this is the best bike computer I’ve every seen. You can also add heart beat and cadence monitoring devices that are very reasonably priced.

You want to know if this thing is worth your money... it is.
Got this computer last year because I didn't like using my phone while on the bike. I had the phone in a mount but would get distracted when glancing down to check my speed or hr and see some notification...almost ate it a couple times from that. So decided to get a basic computer that had some minimal requirements: gps tracking, HR, Speed, daytime visible, and not huge. This computer does all of that very well. The only thing I would like that more expensive computers have is uploading rides to Strava automatically... but It's easy enough to plug in and a lot of times I'll wait until 3-4 rides before I upload. While on the bike, its great. Easy to hookup after you read the directions a couple times through. It connects very easily and doesn't drop during rides. It shows all those data points I want to see while I'm moving so I'm happy there.About 10 months in I started having an issue where it would place my GPS in north Africa, adding some 10,000 miles to my ride each time it did it. I happened on a few rides in a row and started to bum me out. I email customer support and the shipped out a new unit after I confirmed my purchase with them. Super easy to deal with. The only other thing I would say is the bar mount is not the best. If you plan to move it between bikes it will break, so upgrade that. Other than that its great for the price.

Died after 6 months
Plug into charge, you see the battery charge, but device will not turn on. Was always hard to get to work, and would often lose track. Also the remote cadence speed stopped working. In addition the HRM that is from the same brand fell apart internally. Overall a terrible waste of time and money with rare occasions of the products actually working.

NOT for mountain biking, or checking time, or location
CONS:1) HUGE - I thought it was a bit smaller, picture doesn't show how humungous this is2) CLOCK - disappears when active WHY???? I do NOT need a timer, I need a CLOCK3) GPS that isn't displayed? I did not read description carefully. Only useful to log a track, not follow a track4) Couldn't download the APP. Thought I would be able to use the APP to make changes but no dice.I went on to do a lot of research on the Meilan branded tech, found out that they have a high percentage of dissatisfied users.I thought I would be able to see LLOCK TIME and also my DISTANCE, by using an ANT+ hub sensor. But I never even tried after looking a the computer and charging it (took 3 hours). I could NOT navigate to do anything using the few buttons. The instructions require a microscope to read, the APP is required to do "stuff". I could not download the app, and after reading others thoughts, I decided to return it instead of trying to use it.

This device does everything you could possibly want/and MORE!
This seems to be a perfect little device for all the info about your bike ride. I have a bit of trouble seeing the display with my sunglasses on. Love that the small size allows me to quickly detach and put in my pocket when going into the grocery! Love this product!

Accurate and easy to read
I received this for Christmas and found it very easy to set-up. Just for comparison, I installed it on a bike that I already had installed a bike computer. I found it to be very accurate as far as mileage, which is why I got it because I track mileage for maintenance purposes. I like the fact that it’s a GPS because I have several bikes and can just swap it to another bike without needing to swap both a sending and receiving unit as I would with a regular bike computer/speedometer.

The fixing part on the back broke. Cheap plastic.
Internaly it works pretty good. It connects easily to all ant+ devices. But, I used it like 15 times, and the fixing part already broke!! It's unusable now!!gonna try and have a refund or a new one, and will update the review.UPDATE:Contacted the seller and they where kind enough to refund me for the full amount without returning the product. At least there's good customer service! They promised to use better materials, but wouldn't recomend the product as of yet.

Great gift for cyclists
Gave this as a gift at Christmas to a family member of mine that rides her bike daily. Heard from her that she loves it and it makes her bike rides more fulfilling as a workout. She's able to read it while biking and uses it to track her progress while she's out. Would recommend as a gift to cyclist friends.
